The excuses have stopped.

Sunday, March 15, 2015

I have ran out of excuses. Two days ago I was at the ER because I had and still have left arm pain. The doctor says I am not having a heart attack but that doesn't mean I won't anytime soon. I am seeing my doctor on the 24th and I have a letter from the ER doctor requesting a stress test. The part that scared me the most was my blood pressure was 160 over 86. I have never had my blood pressure that high before not even as a smoker. My blood pressure actually lowered as much as 109 over 80.

So I have now realized there are no more excuses because I am scared and I am taking this day by day to exercise and to eat right.

Strange I quit smoking because I had a scare and now I am finally going to eat right because of another scare.

Whatever it takes I have to do this. I have 4 kids and a husband that depend on me to get healthy.

blood pressure is scary - that's a wake-up call, isn't it? I've read that as little as 5% decrease in weight can make a big difference with bp - hope whatever is going on with your arm goes away and doesn't present any long-term issues.
