Seriosly back to Sparking!

Hell all my Sparkfriends, So sorry I have been MIA over these last 7 months.

We have more staff at work now so am able to have more "me" time to sort out my health.

The trip overseas was fantastic, we loved both Germany and the Czech Republic. Travelled on the autobahn in Germany on the way to the Hartz mountains and visited the forest where a lot of the fairy-tale stories originated from. and there was an original amphitheatre still there and had been built centuries ago and still used to this day.

Currently on Sick leave recovering from a Septoplasty which involved straightening the cartilage in my nose as it was deviated and causing me not to be able to breath out of both nostrils. Something I was not aware of!
We are hoping this will improve my snoring issues as my sleep study showed no sleep apnoea.

So here we are 3 weeks till Xmas and I have decided I need to take control of my body and once again use Sparkpeople and track my food.

Since my last measurement entries 12 months ago I have gained 21.5 centimetres which is about 8.2 inches. over my body and 6 kgs of weight. I am also now getting shorter so another 2 kgs and I am in the obese range!

I have 2 wedding to look forward to in 2016, my niece on my husbands side of the family and my son in June, so excited. We are going to visit the wedding venue the week before Xmas and check out accommodation . The wedding is occurring in Dunsborough which is a 2 hour drive south of Perth and my sons future in-laws are coming over from Brisbane to spend Xmas and do the trip down south with us as well.

Well I had better stop and continue with my task for today which is to sort out paper in this office. A job I hate but needs to be done.

Hope this finds you all well and look forward to hearing from you.

I tried to up load some photos but not happening. will look into it at another time.

Sounds like you have been blessed to travel. Lived in Germany for nine years. My older sister lives there and I sure miss it.

Great to have you back Libby. Enjoy your lead up to the weddings. Those extra 6Kgs will just float away once you set your mind to it. Good Luck.

Great to hear from you! Awesome to hear you will have more free time now! Strange you were unable to upload photos -I think Sparkpeople has made it easier now as not all my photos over 5 mb get rejected right away, they are also much faster loading. I was away as well, on a bucket list vacation with my sister to the United Kingdom and Ireland, was wonderful, but wish I had been able to explore some green spaces more than just seeing them whiz by on a crowded bus, or a quick 'photo op' stop. My health has been pretty poor, no sleep, lots of pain as my back deteriorates further from the RA as well as other joints and my feet. Quit my bridge club manager job and don't play as much bridge. If a partner dumps me I don't bother looking for a replacement. I never give up my exercising though. I feel best moving and get restless if I sit too long. I gained 10 lbs on my trip as well, nothing but white carb, high fat meals with greens and veggies missing in action. All breakfasts and most dinners were provided and was nothing I would eat at all. Potato was the main veggie. Was so very happy to get back to my own food lol. So we both have some work to do!!

had a lovely time in Europe. I was away for
3 months also but actually lost 3 kg which I
have now regained. So we are back on track

Nice to see you once again, Libby! That's a small weight gain, and you'll have it reversed in no time at all. The septoplasty sounds so uncomfortable, but I'm glad to hear it's yielding some promising results. You'll be sleeping - and, in general, breathing - more easily! emoticon
