New Year....New Start

new year, new start. Started new job this month. Am working doing home care for a great small company. We work in seniors apt. as "aide" for 4 residents. I used to do homecare as a nurses aide, this is more companion type work. Making sure get their meds, take down for meals, making sure they are doing ok each day. It is part time which for me is perfect since am also watching granddaughter after school. So now have had no choice but to go from major couch potato to up and walking at least couple miles a day...some 4 or more. It was the push i needed to get me to start getting on track and keeping my mind set to work on myself and staying on track.

I have bought myself a garman fitsmart HR, and am loving it. Maybe sounds silly but it helps me want to keep moving..and stay on track. I have come back to Sparks and tracking food...good or bad. Another plus. :)

The last year was a bad one...this year am determined that if nothing else this part of the picture will be better. I am not beating myself up for eating over on any one thing if that is what happens. I am simply being honest with what and how, and learning from there. It will happen. On the days i do not work i am going to do my best to get to the gym and make up the steps i would normally get at work. If nothing else this time at work has made me realize i can push myself a bit harder at the gym. Hoping i will find a time when i can get a trainer there to show me how to work the 30 minute circuit (belong to Planet fitness) Works the full body same way that curves does. Until now i was simply doing elliptical.

one day, one change at a time.
