One Year Later

Not a year since my last blog post, but exactly 365 days since my last status update. A year ago I was tired and that hasn't changed much sadly. I have good stretches but seem to always go back to being tired with a bit of brain fog thrown in for good measure. I haven't seen any connection between my eating and lethargy. I will have to add supplements back into my diet because it can't get much better food wise, so hopefully the right supplements will help.

I am being way more strict about staying away from gluten. I thought I could get away with eating oats that weren't gluten free but found out the hard way that I can't. The good thing about finding things out the hard way is that the memory sticks and I won't make that mistake again.

I am back on the diet roller coaster doing my version of the 17dd. I have lost around 9 lbs since February 1st and am struggling to get beyond my sticking point of 152 lbs. The 17 dd is essentially protein and veg for the first cycle. I find it to be very similar to whole 30, paleo and AIP in the sense that you eat whole foods for the most part.

After doing c2, which was more like c3 or c4 by the end, my weight loss has stalled. Starting yesterday I have gone back to eating more strict which just means no sugar or alcohol or overly carby veg.

My exercise hasn't moved much beyond long walks but they are done at a good pace. Spring is trying to make an early appearance and the trails in the forest have turned to mud so I will be sticking to paved paths probably until the end of March. Doing some stretching and the odd weights but nothing that has become routine yet. I will focus more on exercise for the remainder of March and try to make it more routine.

    Hi Terrri, Older and wiser, with more experience under your belt you should be able to accomplish what you set your mind to. Only you know your body and what it takes to shed weight. Make sure you are getting enough calories, many of us forget the body will stall and as well set a point where it feels comfortable and of course if we are eating too few calories it will stay wanting only those few.
    You have worked hard to get to this point and my word girl 9 in one month is absolutely something to celebrate!! Allow your body to adjust as it just knocked out 9 pounds from it's feast table. Your body will shed more when it readjusts.
    Just be consistent and enjoy the sweet loss, it is amazing!!

    Terri stay positive eat healthy and don't stress it,just eating healthy is good,if you look too into it you grow bored and tired with it all,I'm obsessive and a perfectionist but I have tell myself go with the glow,and live!
