That time in Your Life when...

You start to fall apart...cataracts, blood pressure (medicine needed - oh my gosh-), teeth....
And so you begin once again, to try and get weight off. In your head, this keeps going around; it's so hard to do when you are older....
Sure it is, so is everything. So, once again, I began tracking, from my weight in the doctor's, when I said, it is coming off, to the food I put in my mouth, the water I consume and the exercise, that I do. For one week, I've been hiking 2 miles a day and cycling about 4 - 5 times a week, stretching afterwards. The food is trying to eliminate breads and sugars. More vegetables, fruits, protein (eggs, meat, fish), etc. Next is to pack in extra vitamins, because even the best of foods, could be lacking in key nutrients, I need. I like the sunshine as it is packed with Vitamin D and makes me feel Happy! So there you have week ago, I was 10 lbs heavier, so I am looking forward to not that much of a loss each week, but a gradual dropping. Today, for the fun of it, I hiked an extra mile.
I will watch fellows and gals mountain bike 60-100 miles this Saturday, as I keep their Camelbaks full of water and provide the Hammer products, needed. It's an all day affair, but a fun one.

Thank you for your kind comments. Although, I love to bike thru the woods and sometimes the road, which are great exercise, I needed to address more. I have been down this road before, and tried and tried. It was a wake up call on the dr.'s scales last week, and being prescribed high blood pressure medicine. I don't do medicine if I can help it, so I was rudely awakened. I had slacked off on my foods and vitamin game on! My aim is bring that blood pressure down with the excess pounds.
