New Week, Adding New Exercise Program

I have been staying consistent with both my nutrition and exercise for the past three weeks. Nutrition numbers have been quite good and I am pleased. I am getting in a minimum of 10 minutes (30 min is more likely) of some sort of exercise everyday. I lost two lbs the first week, one the second and maintained the third. Walking and swimming are my two favorites right now, but unfortunately swim season is rapidly coming to an end (I live in Michigan). I also garden, strength train, and I am a Martial Artist (2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do).

Right now I am participating in the "Find 10 Challenge". I am also participating in the "Small Goals Commitment Challenge". But I do believe it is time to step it up on the exercise. A couple days ago I came across a "4 Week Challenge Schedule (Beginner)", I think it was attached in an article on a Day for the "Find 10 Challenge" here on Sparkpeople, but I cannot remember for sure. It lists a number of exercises along with how many to do for each day of the week, leaving Saturday and Sunday as "rest days". I am able to do all the exercises listed and the quantity is not high at all, definitely beginner level. I have decided to add this Challenge to my program and see if I can maintain a mini streak. Sparkguy has described his mini streak which includes a goal and wraps it together with the challenge. So I kind of incorporated his idea, but chose my own "challenge" and goal. Since my Challenge starts with Monday, I will too. So tomorrow, let it begin. Like I said, the Challenge is for 4 weeks, with "x" amount per exercise per day. This can easily be modified to "sets" and "reps" or just increasing the number (from 5 to 10, 10 to 15, etc) starting either when I feel I can implement the increase or week 5. The goal I set for myself will be: completing 12 weeks of this particular Challenge. I am looking forward to pushing myself a little bit more each week and seeing how this works out for me. emoticon
