* Little Pat on Back *

I'm starting my 6th week of Weight Watchers and I am down 10.8 lbs.

Seeing progress has really made me want to see even more. For that reason, I did something crazy (for me) last week. I woke up early and walked a 5k before we went to Thanksgiving festivities. I have NEVER done that, normally we spend most of the day in the car. Also new this year was pre-tracking my food and making decisions about where I wanted to indulge. I stayed in my ranges on the biggest eating holiday of the year and today I weighed in with a 1.6lb loss. That's right, not only did I exercise on Thanksgiving, but I still managed a LOSS afterwards too!

Even so, I very nearly caved to falling off track this weekend and I caught myself. We went to a local Christkindelmarket and the weather was so nice and the food & booze were so cheap. Again, I had to make decisions - where to splurge, where to skip. I took one bite of bratwurst instead of inhaling my own, for example. But I could have easily have overdone it. Guhlwein makes you fuzzy on judgement!

Now I am back at it again. Both WW and my apple watch encouraged me to up my goals for this week, and I said yes. Heavens help me. My legs are not getting any breaks!

I went a bit off the rails for Shop Small Saturday and Cyber Monday though... My fave boutiques got some business from me for sure, and then I ordered some pants a size smaller, for something to work towards. Also picked up both an air fryer and an Instant Pot. Can't wait to get going with those!

I'm looking ahead at a bit of a challenging week. I planned recipes for each day, hoping to stick with them. I go back to the Gastro doc on Thursday and I don't know what to expect. I have been getting sick again fairly regularly and I was hoping the dairy diagnosis would have solved this but I'm almost back at square one. I'm starting to be afraid to leave the house again. I'm not sure what she will say, last time she threw around an idea about a strict elimination diet. That would honestly suck during the holidays but we shall see what she says...

This weekend is also jam packed. Saturday is my husband's company's holiday party (always open bar, always full of food) and Sunday I have a bridal shower to attend. My lactose intolerance makes it rather easy to say no to junk foods these days, but that open bar? Eeks. My plan is to track anything before putting it in my mouth, whether its food or booze, and trying to find as many VEGETABLES as possible.

I'm a little proud of myself. I'm living life differently these days and seeing some results from it. I don't know why it took so long for me to find something to help me become a better me, but I'm really glad I did. I'm gonna keep going! * Gives self a little pat on back *
