Three Weeks Down, Life To Go

Three successful weeks down already! Geeze 2018 is already flying by...February is right around the corner.
Lost almost 3 pounds this week which is great considering I lost big the first two weeks. I fully expect a slow down in the next few weeks. My challenge will be to not let it disappoint me which is really dumb since mentally I know this is completely normal. Its the play on the scale that just messes with me. I will not let it derail the great progress I'm making though and will continue to make. I meant it when I said this IS the year. No more excuses. Frankly I'm just fed up. How many times can one person lose the same 30 pounds? I can obviously. No more with the excuses. If I want this I will do it. Besides I am already feeling better in my skin. Less bloated around the belly. I surprised everyone with posting a full length picture of myself yesterday on Facebook. Even though I'm not THAT much different...I mean 12 pounds is not enough to show true change yet but I tell ya I still felt better. Just not having your jeans squeezing your fat over the top was enough for me. lol.
I had a full busy week. Between both my daughters they keep me pretty busy. One is a competitive dancer and the other plays club competitive volleyball. A lot of times my weekends are full and they alternate...one weekend I will be out of town with one daughter at a volleyball tournament and the next weekend I'll be out of town at a dance competition. Luckily my son who is older (20 and in college) doesn't need mom too or I'd be a wreck. So this week I had a volleyball tournament over last weekend, a dance showcase on Friday and then her birthday party yesterday. This can all be stressful while juggling a business and another job outside the home too. Currently I'm trying to wrap up my taxes by the end of the month. Somehow it all gets done but man I get a little stressed sometimes. Plus I know one day I will miss the business of kids in the house. Our "baby" is already 10 so its fading more and more each year and faster it seems too.
I had planned on starting my running back up today but I woke up with some weird chest twinges you know the kind where you get that little pinch in your lung when you try to breathe all the way in but cant. It went away but it was enough to deter me. Since the c25k program is a three day a week program and the days I can workout are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I feel better just starting it next Monday. Hopefully I will still get to the place where I can run it straight thru by race time. I think I will but if not then I guess I'll just sign up for another one a few weeks after the one I am doing. The more the better right?!?
