Making progress

I do want to drop some weight--but I am working to keep my muscle mass UP (and the size 10 jeans fitting okay) and I am also working on some NOT weight-related goals--like getting rid of things I don't need and cleaning up the space we live in.

So this week, we are decluttering--I HATE to do that and I NEED to do that--so the emphasis is good for me. This is a part of the 5% Challenge--in 8 weeks, we try to lose 5% of our body weight by exercising, eating better and following some healthy habits.     I love decluttering but need a block of time to do it where I can be uninterrupted, that's tricky!

    You are doing great. I find 5 minute cleaning does wonders. Set your timer. Take everything off one shelf. Clean it and as you put each item back, decide if you really need it and organize as you go. It makes it a little less painful.

    I love little decluttering projects, but it's the big ones like cleaning out my unfinished basement that I hate. That's high on my summer project list. emoticon

    Decluttering is good for us all the way around. need to do a lot of that myself
