A light on the horizon

There is hope for me yet. emoticon I have wanted to work for a nursing home for the last couple of years. I recently started applying for jobs at the local nursing homes. Recently, I had an interview to be a social worker at a nursing home in my town. The interview went great! emoticon I had a good answer for every question. I already had knowledge in most of the areas that they asked about! I was given a tour of the facility and it just seemed right. I called to thank them for their time and I was told that the administrator was told about me and that I should be getting a call at the beginning of the week. This might be my way out of the current job. emoticon

Two weeks ago my co-worker and I were told that we would not longer be running group. emoticon The agency has decided to reorganize the department and we are out of it. My co-worker will be a therapist and I will work with the doctor's and the nurses, doing their paperwork and getting all of the ISPs completed. Individual Service plans need to be done on everyone because that is what Medicaid needs in place to pay an agency. If one isn't there...it is not a good outcome. I do not like this job at all. emoticon My case load consists of people who are not keeping their appointments with their therapists. I have a productivity expectation and I'm not sure the reasoning that goes into assigning me people who do not keep their appointments in the first place. As I was turning in my keys, I told one of my bosses that I had completed all 15 transfers into the new supervisor's caseload. She then goes on to tell me that more work will be given to me as soon as they can figure out how. I kept my calm and tried to keep in mind that I might be getting good news in the near future. emoticon

Please pray that I get good news and that the salary is acceptable. emoticon
