Coming out the other side of things!

Wow that last blog was so long! I'm through the worst of the withdrawal from narcotic pain medication. I had about 60 hours of pain so intense that I didn't know what to do. I just got through it moment by moment. Sometimes that's all you can do. I got through it with a grace that I don't normally possess. I snipped at my hubby twice - apologizing right away both times and my poor, ever faithful dog, Oy once - giving him make up attention right away.

I'm more fatigued than I've been since having a very long and arduous labor with my daughter. I've read that the fatigue can pop up from time to time for about the next four months. I still have some symptoms but they're nothing compared to the pain I was in.The pain management team told me to keep resting every chance I get for now. Following the advice of the medical folks, I force myself to keep nutrients going down (loss of appetite) and I'm drinking electrolyte infused bottled water to stay hydrated.

I was brought to tears by the support I received after people read my last blog. I will get to privately thanking everyone as I can. Apparently typing is good hand/finger exercise!

I want to get busy battling my bulge again. I'm finding that trying to put things off until after I've gotten myself put back together is an exercise is the art of being too blind to see the fluid nature of things. So I need to use what I can to make it easier to battle the bulge and quit putting it off. I know I'll do well because I have SP!
