I had my yearly evaluation yesterday. It did not go well. I received mostly meets expectations or above. I had one below and that was productivity. About half of my appointments don't show up. I need to have 5 hours a day and this rarely happens. I was told yesterday that I have 2 months to get my productivity where it needs to be or else I am going to be fired. A friend at work told me the agency is creating a job that would be perfect for me but it hasn't been posted. I told her I hope it happens soon as I haven't made productivity all fiscal year and I am already down 82 hours and I will not be able to bounce back. I am seriously considering if I should change to a different department to at least maintain employment. Any suggestions or ideas?

My review wasn't necessarily a bad one, just one portion of it.

Wow, no I have no suggestions because I have never been in that position. It does blow my mind that you can apply for work in a different department in the same company when your review wasn't going so well. I never worked for a large corporation. I have worked retail, in the restaurant industry in the kitchen as a sous chef (highest title I ever held in that field, it was at a very small private country club), as a tutor or in the office for small businesses. Good luck! Can you job hunt for another job? If they don't like you and are not giving you the hours or instruction you need to meet their demand, maybe you need to work elsewhere.

I agree - they should provide more structure about how to get to the level they require. Best wishes!

Meet with the person who gave you your evaluation and has them for specific instructions on how to improve. Can you double book appointments?
