Why I started Spark People and why I won't quit.

Sunday, February 03, 2019

I believe I joined sparkpeople in 2009 I was 55 pounds over weight. A friend recommended Sparkpeople to me and I found it was a useful tool for weight loss. My glucose levels were in the borderline area. Diabetes runs in my family and I want to delay it as long as I can, forever would be good.

It took me a while but I lost the weight plus 5 extra pounds. I kept it off for a long time but I slowly wander away from Sparkpeople and with in two years of my wandering I had put on 40 pounds of the 60 I lost.

Well I am back on the right track and working hard to get my weight back where it should be. I have about 28 pounds to get off to get back to my goal weight.

Sparkpeople has helped me become accountable. The support and encouragement to reach my goals has helped motivate me. I'm in the BLC (Biggest Loser Challenge) on SP that has really helped me be accountable.

I will not give up because I want to be healthy and remain strong as I age. I really want to enjoy my golden years. Because retirement is great.
