So my clubhouse gym opens at 0500...

...and it turns out, up & at 'em is exactly what works for me to catch some daily exercise. I'm up at 5:00 anyway and the earliest I need to leave for work is 6:45. So I've got lots of time to do stuff but have mostly just used it to watch the news and drink coffee and be somewhat leisurely in readying myself for work. However, what I've discovered this week is that if I prepack my foods for the office the night before, and lay out my gym strip that's all I need to get up and go. I just have to fill my water bottle on the way out the door! I don't need to have coffee first, I don't need to eat first. I've done 3 of my C25K days just this week! Moving forward I am going to challenge myself to go to the clubhouse first thing on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and then try for one more day at least on the weekend.
I gave up two weekly Zumba classes and have been trying to figure out how to replace the 120 minutes of cardio I'm missing for so, so long. I had hoped to have this figured out last month but no dice. So now that I have a plan, I'm going to make it routine and then start adding in more strength training that I can do in my own home. Or at the clubhouse, they do have a weight bench and free weights there.
I'm down 14.2 lbs this year SO FAR. I'm still chasing the 20 pound goal I've set here at Spark by the end of the month. It'll be close, but I'll still weigh less than I did last year and that's what counts. In fact I have nearly taken off all the weight I put on in 2019 now.
Yay me!
