Neck surgery

Saturday, January 02, 2021

Had surgery on a herniated disc last Monday. Thankfully they didn't have to do the fusion, thankfully all went well. Now my job is to rest and walk and walk and rest. I'm supposed to walk 5-10 minutes, 4-5 times a day, increasing to 40 minutes once a day over the next 6 weeks. I got to 2000 steps today, which doesn't sound like much, except that I'm 6 days out from neck surgery and was in too much pain to walk before. The catch is I'm off my Humira for those 6 weeks. So here goes a new journey!

**HUGS** So glad the surgery went well. I celebrate your victory of increasing your steps to 2,000. Well done. It is something to celebrate. Wishing a full recovery and hope being off Humira doesn't spike your inflammation and pain. It sounds like you are on your way to a full recovery.

Have a Happy, fun, fullfilling year!
