Dayum, it's already 1:30. Just now eating lunch, I hadn't realized how late it had gotten! I'm back to drinking a second cup of coffee in the morning, and my BFF gave me this great tumbler that keeps it hot FOREVER, so I tend to just keep sipping over a couple hours and it kind of kills my appetite. Good for my weight, I guess?

I went for another walk this morning, which felt great. I did a pretty long one yesterday, a little over 4 miles, and when I set out today I planned to do a shorter one. And then I did 5.2 miles. How'd that happen? Just as well, hopefully I walked off last night's wine with dinner.

Amazingly, I have zero meetings today, so I've actually been able to get some work done. Other than an hour of dealing with healthcare this morning, argh. Jamie has been dealing with hand pain for several years now...we have done physical therapy, occupational (hand) therapy, x-rays, MRIs, blood tests, multiple doctors, you name it. They've never been able to figure out what the problem is, though therapy helped at least get the pain down to just his hand (it was all the way up to his shoulder originally).

Anyhow, we finally got him into the pain management clinic in late February, and they suggested a brace for his hand. Great. Well, ever since we've been trying to get the thing - we keep bugging the pain management folks and the sports med doc who referred us there, with no luck. So I finally sent a WTF message to the sports med doctor last night.

Well, her office called me this morning and said, well, it looks like the pain management folks decided that the hand therapy folks should be the ones to figure out the brace. So you need to go back to hand therapy. AAAAAARGH.

And then when I called hand therapy to make the appt, they tried to make me jump through the new-patient hoops since Jamie hasn't been there since 2019. So I did some yelling....I mean, come on, it's the same problem! Anyhow, we now have an appt for early May, and this damn well had better not take more than one visit because god knows they have more than enough information on this poor kid by now!

Anyhow, that's about it from my end. Hope you're all having a good day.
