Coming Undone In 2021

I have started and stopped here at SP so many times over the years. This time I am hoping to stick with it a bit better. I need to stick with it better. In looking through past blogs I have come to realize that my current weight of 257 pounds is *not* the heaviest I have ever been; that goes to November of 2017 at 278 pounds. Having said that, I am going to share the measurements I took back in November 2017 because they are the most recent ones I can find. Then I will share what they are today. I have gone a decent distance since 2017 and yet I have a long way to still travel.

I am just about done signing up for a 2.5 year weight loss study. I am looking forward to it because it can really only help me become healthier. Yes, I want to lose weight, but for me it really is more about being as healthy as I physically can.

Here are those measurements -

November 10, 2017

Weight: 278.5
Neck: 16 inches
Right Arm: 17.5 inches

Since we got Lucky in August of 2018 I've actually lost a decent amount of weight walking him. More than I thought to be honest. I usually walk him 2 to 3 times per day, and each of those walks is anywhere from 0.25 to 0.50 miles. It doesn't sound like much but evidently, it has been working.

Now to start tracking my food again and holding myself more accountable. I said it before, way back in 2008 or so when started here I lost around 25 pounds. I know I can do it again. All of this weight didn't add on overnight, it will not disappear overnight.

My youngest son and I did the Hot Chocolate 5K this past November and even though it was virtual, we had fun together. We both picked a few medals from a virtual 5K site and when those arrive we will go walk together and earn those too. I may even let my Mom off the hook for the Hot Chocolate 5K each year if maybe she'd be willing to help us pick a few less expensive 5K medals to earn every few months instead. It would help us both be healthier. It would be more fun earning different medals too. Earn maybe 4 or 5 a year for the same price as just the one - sounds more fun to me. Especially if the HC5K swag is going to suck like it did last year. The sweatshirts were less than impressive. At least the medals were good.

Okay, enough blabbering for now. Off to log my food for today. I wish the app were as easy to use as the website via my laptop. I wish the website via my phone were as easy as the laptop. It's weird and annoying how different they both are from being on the laptop. I need to go stop it at my SparkTeams too.
