Countdown 29

Saturday, June 19, 2021

We were so poor, my dad would eat Cheerios with a fork so he could pass the milk around the table.

We were so poor, we didn't even use the "o" and "r".

After two weeks of gaining, today I lost a little of it back. But still 3 pounds more than before SP news. Hopefully I can do even better next week.
Hope you have great weekend and next week.

I was up a few pounds at my doctor visit on 6-14 and he said "You're going in the wrong direction." Then I told him I'd been upset that my brother had spent the past 7 months in the hospital, ICU, rehab and nursing home (4 times in ICU) and I thought the Covid lockdown was a major factor after his surgery Oct. 1st on his esophagus that he never got better as no one could visit him or be in ICU. He didn't even go out of his room at rehab for Physical Therapy so he didn't talk to anyone. His wife and son came up twice & saw him through a glass window with a speaker as they brought him down in a wheelchair. I was upset that he died.
so, here I am now working to get myself down to what I was and it's just a few pounds.

My doctor said the doctors should have treated his Leaky Gut Syndrome, since it is connected to anxiety and depression, which my brother had since 1975. He said it is connected to acid reflux, which is what scarred my brother's esophagus. I know there is a connection. He said he gives his patients, Chitosan and Mastic Gum and has them eat plain yogurt daily and use Curry Powder and take Psyllium & eat raw veggies for fiber. I use Konsyl fiber I get at Walmart.

OH goodness, yes, the SP news definitely was difficult. Hands down, there is NO other site like it. But grateful we have it for a little while longer.

HUGS and congratulations on a weight release this week. That's excellent.

As we age the body weight can fluctuate more. With the heart and lung failure it's especially true, I look for longer patters in the weigh ins.
