back from vacation

I'm back from vacation.

I successfully got my folks to their eldest granddaughter's wedding in California and back home to Wisconsin without any health issues or arguments. The only hiccup was a messed up hotel reservation for the first night. [My mom's card was rejected for some odd reason and since we were in the air when they ran it, they gave my folks room to someone else-- a local festival meant there were no rooms to be had so in the end Hubby and I gave up our room with a single king sized bed to my 80 & 86 year old folks and we "slept" the first night in the van we rented.--we also did a lot of laughing--what else could you do]

We got back and I'm still sort of dragging. It was a very long week. On the upside the scale shows no ill damage so my lack of tracking did me no great harm. On the downside no real progress either, so it is back to being here and moving forward.

My next big thing is getting ready for our Church's Vacation Bible School program the end of July. I'm sort of in charge of a lot of it, including writing a curriculum and finding all the volunteers. Things are mostly falling into place but it's consuming a lot of my brain power.

Plan to invite over one of the fellow teachers on Thursday to go over what materials are needed for the littlest of children (not an age I'm well experienced with) I'm checking out what I want to make dinner when she comes over and I'm thinking (since I have to work all day before she comes over) something in the slow cooker will be the ticket. I'm leaning towards a pot roast.
