Check-in - 1/10/08

Thursday, January 10, 2008

I have been very busy and have not had time to check in here lately. I have been doing some massive cleaning which really puts me in a completely different mind-space. I feel much better about everything and I am enjoying myself more in my off-line life.

There was a time when I was tethered to my computer and even with the support and wanting to lose weight, I was spending MORE time online talking about losing than getting offline and doing something about it. So this year? New change. I'll just be doing check-ins and seeing how people are doing, but I'm not going to be living on this thing.

In cleaning news, I have been doing so, so well, I am elated. My kitchen has now become my new sanctuary which is very interesting. Not in a bad way - not at all. I'm very into keeping it cleaned and also for cooking. Now, I have this boyfriend that I'm cooking for as well as my family and the weird thing is, it's not for me. I'm not going to be sitting here gorging on all of this food. I have been cooking very healthy foods for myself lately and it's paying off. I haven't been able to experience because I have been down with a sinus infection, but I'll be getting over that soon.

Bottom line: Everything is going really well and I am happy. I'm looking for very good things to come and I am hoping that within a week, I will have hit my first mini-goal! And if not, everything will still be excellent. :)

Ah, a mututal realization. I'd gotten into that spending too much time here mode as well. Finally, I've learned to say that I'll check in after exercise, then disappear for two or three hours.

Want to come clean and discover my kitchen???? It could use it! But, the liking to cook thing is not about to rub off! I hate it.
