I was like that a long time ago.. but then i came to this site.. and read a lot .. and decided that i was going to lose no matter what.. i found i loved treadmills so got a used one and went on it almost every day.. then got some exercise dvds.. that helped too.. and i planed ahead on food and exercise and did weights and soon was losing.. and i am at my goal weight! U can do this too! dont give up!.. and i am 58 and if i can do this so can you!

Take it one day at a time. Get yourself a small notebook and carry it everywhere. Use it to record your meals, your thoughts, everything and then at the end of the day look over it and see where you are going. This was the only way I got back on track.

start slow, and know that this isn't a diet anymore. This is a journey to health and wellness. This is a lifestyle change for the better. Believe that you can and will do this. take small steps.

Maybe, if the weight depresses you, you can try focusing on the food, using the tracker and staying within a certain range for a while--see how your clothes feel, things like that, until you can get control of your hatred of the scale. Linda C

This is not an easy journey. It takes hard work, determination and the desire to get it done. The weight didn't come on in a day and it won't leave in a day.
Start by planning your meals and eating right. Use the menu planner if you're not sure. SP gives you the receipes and even a grocery list.
Drink plenty of water. This will flush your system and remove toxins from your body.
Start an exercise program and stick with it. Start small and increase the minutes every week.
Get rid of all the junk food in your house and replace it with healthy choices. That way you are not tempted.
DON'T GIVE UP!

Take one day at a time and don't look back at all of the times you have dieted and it failed. This is not a diet. This site really really helps. Read the tips ,use the menu planner, and chat with lots of us! Also read other peoples pages or blogs.......you will find lots of advice there and you will most certainly find inspiration from the stories of others!

Then remember that it takes time to change old habits....take it a little bit at a time.....and forgive yourself when you slip BUT never ever give up....get right back at it and work on creating habits of good health for a lifetime...not just a diet!

Baby steps. Don't try to change everything all at once. Follow direction. Take suggestions that works for you. Know that this is about a lifestyle change,
changing the way we have always done things. Make a commitment and stick to it,one day at a time,one step at a time. Don't try to go over your limits but also,don't go under them either. Don't allow yourself to many excuses. You're not perfect and you will make mistakes but when you do move past it. Except your humanness. You can do anything you put your mind to do and the best part about is,you don't have to do it alone. Together WE CAN do it!!!

ive tried to lose weight and everytime i end up gaining. I am not happy with the person ive become and I cant figure out how to get where I want to go. I fear that Im going to really stop loving myself because of my wieght please if anyone can relate i would love to get some advice.
