Saturday: Nice Zoom Breakfast. Did eggs in the hole this morning. So good and simple! Our friends were a little more rested today (the paramed and EMT) Things are still grim @ the hospitals, though.

Sunny but cold. Iíll take it w/o precipitation!

HUGS and enjoy Saturday.

Friday: Thanksgiving dinner turned out deliciously. Jason and I enjoyed it. Will put packages together for John and Clara for the weekend.

The weather was decent. It was dark and dreary in the morning, but the sun came out.

So, it will be leftovers tonight. Just heat up and no cooking. Hurray!

Jasonís thyroid procedure is now scheduled. 16 April. But we have to be up there on the 14th for Covid testing. Then pre-op stuff on the 15th. BUT the good news is, it will be outpatient. I am just ready for ALL this to be over! At least the spring is pretty there.

Just signed up for our local Thanksgiving 5K, although this year it is "VirtuREAL" meaning that I'll run it on the usual course, which is right around the corner from my house, but we're all doing it at slightly different times/days instead of a large group together. I opted for tomorrow afternoon, which actually will make it easier to travel on Thursday morning because we can leave early. Weather looks good tomorrow afternoon, then rain overnight into Thursday, but it will be above freezing the whole time, so I'll take it!

Happy Monday! Got each of my classes mostly sorted for right now and a plan for the next two days so that I can take off Thursday and Friday and not think about school nonsense.

Gonna head to my sister's for Thanksgiving, she's only 2 hours away and both of our households has been pretty careful and doesn't do much beside our minimal work requirements, and she works from home, so we figure that we are likely safe. She's taking care of the menu and such and I'm not even going to worry, there will be plenty of turkey which is all I need!

Sunday: Quiet day. Had a pile of medical bills to reconcile, so got those in order.

It was a nice day so got Jason out in the back yard for some sun therapy! He felt so much better after going outside.

Today is going to be a quiet day again. Both of us are pooped!

Hugs and blessings.

Friday: Turned out to be a good day! Beautiful weather!

We got our printer delivered! It wasnít anticipated till next week. All connected now and working! Never did that before, but Jason gave good instructions. PHEW

The PT was changed to a video session! I am glad of that. Water therapy is cancelled till the end of December and will re-evaluate. But he has a really good physical therapist, so I am relieved. Put Jason through his paces!

Here it is . . . FriYaY again! Enjoy

Melissa: Yup . . . I think everyone reaches a point of craziness in their lives when other things are just ignored, at least for that moment in time!

Yes, glad that things are settled a little. NOT been a great year.

Hope all YOUR academic craziness gets squared away. Itís tough.

Oh man, I hit that point in the semester where everything gets crazy and I lose track of all non-academic life!

CRAZYDOG - Looks like you and the family and still doing good, making it through all your challenges - that's great!

I'm catching up on all my school nonsense, got one class that is actually ending in a week, so getting all their final stuff done has been killer. Still trying to figure out balance, but it comes and goes, you know. At least I have been keeping up with my exercise and eating well, so I feel good about that, even if a lot of my personal side stuff (like Spark, and reading, and such) gets sidelined for a bit.

Right now (literally, I'm multitasking) I'm also attending an online conference for a Women's Committee I'm a part of, which is awesome, but even more time I don't have. At least online conferences make it easier to multitask through the not as exciting talks!

Okay, I'm working to get my routine back in order, so I intend to check in again. Have a good weekend!

No day but today ...

Jas had a good night sleep, now shooting for a good day.

Got the crock pot out and going to let it do the cooking today. Still have meals in the freezer, but feel like a crock pot meal tonight. Something very warm and comforting!

Glad for Friday and the weekend. Maybe things will slow down just a little bit.

Wednesday: Had to make a run to the pharmacy. Thatís the only place I went today, thank goodness.

Jas had a much better day. After talking to the surgeon, I asked about putting a lidocaine patch on and he agreed. It worked! It settles down the nerve pain.

So, hoping today is a good day for him, too.

Our weather is much cooler. I guess Minnesota had snow, so I am SOOOooo very glad weíre home.

Jas had a good night sleep. Thatís an improvement. He still has pain (not unexpected) but will call the surgeon to see if we can change or add something else to the regime to make him more comfortable.

Otherwise gorgeous day yesterday. Will start out that way here then storms and cooler weather. Oh well. Enjoyed it while it lasted.

Saturday: Well, busy day yesterday . . . . not on sparks much and probably wonít be for several days. Just donít want you to think Iíve forgotten you!

Jas was discharged late in the afternoon yesterday. Had a rocky morning, but improved w/change in meds. So, got him back to the hotel. He was fed, medicated, hydrated and is now resting. Good job. Still having lots of pain, but itís going to take time.

Clara was having a tough day. GI distress. Told her to call the Dr! She did. Got a script and feeling a tiny bit better. At least able to eat a little again.

So . . . hands more than full. Probably head home on Sunday. NEED a day to just chill a little.

HUGS and hereís to a good Saturday.

Friday: Well, Jas was to be discharged yesterday (WAY TOO early). But had severe pain, and they decided he needed one more night . . . I agree! So weíll see what today brings.

Clara is feeling a little bit better but still very fatigued, no smell or taste and sheís still got some breathing issues. BUT her Dr. said her lungs sound a little better. Well, hallelujah.

Will see Jason @ 8 am and see where we go from there.

Wednesday: Well, Jas reported @ 5:30 am and surgery @ 8:45 am. I can go in w/him, but then have to wait @ the hotel during surgery. They will call when heís out of recovery and in his room. Then I can see him.

Clara texted in the evening. She is positive for Covid. DAMN. Is on a truckload of meds. No hospital. BUT I told her she is to call ER and follow their instructions to the ďTĒ if her breathing gets any worse. The Dr. sad she did have some fluid in her lungs and he was afraid of Covid pneumonia. So, many prayers. Sheís resting and doing as sheís told. Thatís a good thing.

Will update when I can.

Tuesday: Had the radiology visit. He went over the radiofrequency ablation (using sound waves to destroy the nodule). All sounds good. Jas couldnít have it done till the spring, since he has to be completely healed from the spinal surgery.

The biggest glitch is that we need to find out if Medicare will cover it. THAT is going to be a problem. Couldnít get through today. Will resume when we get home. If they donít, we know they cover the alcohol ablation. So, we have to talk w/the endocrinologist for his guidance if we have to go to a plan B.

Today we meet w/the neurosurgeon for pre-op visit. Have to wait till 8 pm tonight to call into an automated system that tells you when to report and what time surgery is.

Bonus points: Today is the 43rd birthday of that baby boy I delivered as a student nurse! We may be able to have an outside visit AGAIN with that OB Mom. Wow. Donít know where time flies. But it sure does.

Clara textíd this morning. Sounds like she has the flu, but has to get tested for Covid with the symptoms she has. Lord there has to be an end to this! Sheís getting tested this afternoon. Then . . . wait for the results. She will text us when she gets the results. Prayers.

Update: She tested positive. DAMN IT. Has a whole list of meds to pick up and obviously has to quarantine. I feel utterly horrible not being able to help her. **SIGH** Even when we get home, very little I can do because neither of us can be exposed. I am just ready to cry.

Well, it has been real cold here the last few days, but it is supposed to get up past 60 tomorrow! Although, my plan is to run in the morning when it will still be sitting just above freezing, but that's fine. At least it will be dry.

I have a low-meeting week, and I am doing a pretty good job of getting stuff done! Now, if I can get ahead, I might make to Thanksgiving break without going crazy.

Well, I haven't looked outside yet, but the weather app says snow showers, so I guess i'll have to see if anything actually stuck. I'm glad I organized the dog stuff last week, because I may need to put their booties on! I'm ready for a snow run, got my wool toe socks.

I'm noticing that although I find it quite easy not to eat in the evenings, I'm also not drinking enough water and letting myself get dehydrated. Gotta remember to grab a glass of water when I get my SO dinner, otherwise, my throat gets super dry and I cough at night! No fun.

Another busy week, because they all are, but I think I'm ready.
