My cat Thor likes his drinking fountain (the toilet) too.

I like your poem. We have two dogs and they greet us even if we just walk to the mailbox. They wag and prance and turn around in circles. I always sit on the couch while they circle around for pats and rubbings edging each other out.

Sandy the lab opens the bathroom door and lays there while we accomplish our tasks. She likes see the toilet flush and gets a drink from the clean bowl. I know it's gross, she loves to drink for the toilet.

emoticon Hi to All!!!! We have two dogs , a Pomerian and an Afghan and they always without fail greet us at the door as if we'd been gone forever. The Pom follows me everywhere especially to the bathroom. I think he knows what the toilet is for if only he could reach and open the lid. emoticon

My name is Lena, how are you all? I have a question for anyone that has a cat. My cat, stanley, started scratching himself, he doesn't have flees I think his skin is dry, does anyone know if there is something I can give him in his food or whatever

Thanks Lena

Try three dogs and two cats in the bathroom with you. And our bathroom is very small. If the grandpuppy who is visiting can get back to the bathroom then its four dogs and no cats.

April follows me to the bathroom too!

And I love the greeting from her. It is the highlight of my day. She is just the best fur baby, but aren't they all?

I loved this poem and really needed to remember what I have in April. Sometimes the trials of the world fall on me and I forget this awesome blessing of little April! Thanks for putting this poem up.

One of the first tricks Tinker learned as a wee pup was to push the bathroom door open and join me for a long soak in the tub.

EVENTHOUGH I HAVE NO DOGS, I ENJOY READING YOUR POEM..WITH 5 CATS I HAVE NO PRIVACY IN THE BATHROOM, ONE OF MY CATS ONLY EATS HER FOOD WHENEVER I CLOSE THE BATHROOM DOOR BECAUSE THE OTHER CATS WANTS HER FOOD....ANOTHER ONE OF MINE DOES NOT LIKE MY DOOR CLOSE SO SCRATCHES ON IT UNTIL I OPEN IT....PETS RULE THE HOUSE....

Although the poem was about dogs, it sounds like my kitten. She doesn't get up until I do then she's running up and down the living room like crazy because she knows she's getting food...lol. I have been complaining about the awful mess she is making with her litter box but when you think about it, it only takes 10 minutes to clean the floor and wash the box. For all the love she gives me, it's worth it. Denise

Had a surgery in July. The weight has been creeping up on me since then. Think I was nervous about exercising. Not an excuse. Seriously was worried about damaging myself. Lost 100lbs back in 2009....20lbs back in past 3 1/2 months. Gotta get active....

Glad to hear that little fur balls follow others to the bathroom. I grew up always closing the door, but now that it is just Hubby and I.... Hubby nor I close the door unless we have guest. This makes it open to the little fur ball to go in with you. She is also fascinated by the whirling water in the toilet

Keep on track

At least you can go in the bathroom alone! My little Snaps follows me there EVERY time! Now that's devotion when you want to stay in a small bathroom with a human no matter how much fiber they've added to their diet!!!!!!!!! emoticon

Every evening as I huff and puff up the steps with my schoolbag (a suitcase on wheels) I open the door to a super duper triple kitty greeting. Rubbies and kitty kisses galore. It's the best part of my day!

So true, even if you are only gone for 5 minutes you are greeted as if you were gone for days. It is really nice to come home to after a hard day at work.

I just read this poem, isn't it so true!! And, I'm passing it along to you -- all you wonderful animal lovers!!!

emoticon The Greeting emoticon

I open the door.
You are already
bounding to the door
with a wagging tail,
flashing teeth,
and four prancing paws.
Your healing power dissolves
the most difficult day
from memory.
A cold nose
and warm kisses
trigger a child’s laughter
from my heart.
I am a better human
for having you
in my life.
