i find that when I get stressed, or bored, or whatever, I do what I did yesterday, got on my stationary bike and rode it until the feeling went away. I read also and that helped. I find that when I'm bored or stressed, etc, riding my bike or doing any exercise, will help with those feelings. it produces the endorphins which make you feel better plus I'm not bored anymore.

Good job stopping. Try to behave like a detective & see if you can think of any moment before you started the over-eating. I do this(when I care, hahaha, we won't go into that topic tonight, haha)--I try to think if there was any moment what I could have done to prevent it(like running, or leaving, or journaling, or just going outside & breathing, or hitting a tree with a bat, you know, any action at all that could have stopped me & served the same purpose that the eating did at the time). If I can't think of anything, then I figure was there anything that if I did it regularly would it help--like keep a giant jug of water with me & a protein bar & insist that the next time I'm wanting to eat a bunch that I have to finish off those two things first. I've learned a lot doing this that has helped(again, when I care, haha). I think looking back ^ studying is helpful to learn like if you tripped & turned around to see what caused it so you know it's there for next time...my detective work has helped me know to avoid certain types of people when possible, to not go to parties hungry, & other situations(like baking)....hang in there...we all do it...sounds like you're back on track.

Good for you. We all blow it from time to time, at least I do. The important part is to be honest about it and don't let it get you down. Put it behind you and keep on going. I used to be one of those that would say I blew it, why bother but thanks to SP I now know different. emoticon

Forcing ourselves to track and then we see what we are doing it was good that you tracked and was able to make adjustments and realize that tomorrow is a better day.

"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government."

It is hard to make changes stick but you did great by stopping yourself from going to far over board! You can do it even a small change as stopping yourself is still a good show of improvement.

I was so excited last night... and encouraged over all the blogs. Today was a 360. Personal problems and stresses had me hitting the pringles as well as 3 slices of pizza. Afterwards, I felt like crap... lower than crap... I was more like Oscar on shark tales... This afternoon, I got hold of myself... I posted honestly on my nutrition guide and it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I stopped. Last week I would have eaten the whole can as well as the rest of the pizza...one slice at a time.
I had a salad tonight... my calorie consumption was WAY overboard. I am currently drinking Crystal light Raspberry Ice. Tomorrow WILL be better. emoticon emoticon
