Good morning everyone. Went out for seafood for dinner last night. I had popcorn shrimp and fried pickles. Thought that traffic would be bad coming home but it was not that bad.

CJ: Yeah my haircut feels good. We saw at least two flowers already on one tomato plant.

Cathy: I was able to get the oil changed before any rain came.

Hello Friends, Wow it seems that this month went very quickly. I went for my 2nd pool therapy today. I think it is already helpful. I'm approved for 2 times per week for the next 4 weeks for which I am very thankful. I feel hopeful that I will regain some mobility and be able to take less pain meds.

Cathy - I hope you can get the answers you need about the CT scan. I can echo what you said about surgeons. I feel like I need an interpreter when I talk to one. It will be good to have the surgery over and be able to move on.

I can see that it would make sense to take a break. Please know we will miss you, though.

Leslie - it sounds like you have quite a task getting everything moved around from Trello to One Note. Good for you. I'm glad to hear that your hubby is recovering well from his surgery. I hope it helps lessen his pain.

Karenmarie - You have done a good job increasing your daily water intake. WooHoo! I'm glad you are persevering with going without a snack at night. I thought of your mom today when I was in the water. I'm glad she was able to do this. I'm sure it helped her.

Patti - Yay for getting your haircut. Sure feels good, doesn't it? Wishing you well with your tomatoes. Fresh picked tomatoes are such a treat.

Blessings to you all. emoticon

My points: 2012

Hello Team,

I've really enjoyed spending the month with all of you. I think I'm going to take a break from SP for the month of May. I haven't completely decided yet but that's the way I'm leaning especially with my surgery coming up next week.

Not a lot happened today except that I did 2 hikes on the treadmill. The doctor's office called though to give me details about what I'll need to do before the surgery, when I need to stop eating, etc.. I have to go get a Covid test on Saturday.

I tried to get an appointment with a doctor before the operation. There was one available but he works in the same suite that the doctor does that I saw yesterday. Obviously, he wouldn't go against the doctor that I saw yesterday so I think what I'm going to do is send the surgeon a message and see if he or his nurse/assistant will answer my question about the CT Scan. Him not being very talkative doesn't bother me but the fact that he didn't explain why he wasn't going to do a CT Scan does. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Leslie - The fact that he doesn't have the best bedside manners doesn't bother me too much. Some of the best doctor's I've had didn't have the best bedside manners. I don't understand why he wouldn't order a CT Scan when he said it would show the tumor.
Good luck getting everything moved over to OneNote from Trello. I haven't worked with OneNote in years and I imagine it has changed. It's nice to have the old photos on the Echo Show. We have 3 now and probably won't get more. Three really is all that we need. It's also nice that it connects to the Ring video doorbell so we can talk to whomever is at the from door through the Echo Show.

Patti - Hope you were able to get your oil changed before the rain came.

Karenmarie - I enjoyed spending the month with you. It had been a while since we'd been on the same team.

CJ - I hope the pool therapy continues to help you.

Getting ready to go get the oil changed in my car. It is supposed to rain later today.

Lesley: I got things done around the house and my hair is easier to take care of since it is short.

Cathy: Yeah my hair being short will help me stay cool during the summer.

Good morning friends,

It has been a wonderful month spending time with you all. I hope I see you in the coming challenges!!

Yesterday was a little frustrating for me. I think I am going to have a to cut back on work a bit - like a couple of hours a day. I think between trying to stay up on my meetings, waiting for my work to start up, take care of DH, and taking care of the house is getting to be a lot. Although he does not need a lot of care, he does need me to open doors, carry his pillow for his leg, gets him food and water, it is a lot and I feel like I am competing between work and him. I'll talk to my boss tomorrow morning about it.

@Patti - I hope you got your things done in your house. My hair is really short too. it makes it easier to take care of, but it also means you have to take care of it every day or I look like the wreck of the Hesperus - LOL

@Cathy - That stinks the surgeon didn't have a good bedside manner. If you didn't feel the vibes, I would definitely go for a 2nd opinion. I think that if he said a CT would show it better and it is painful for you, then why not scan it?? That would make me a little leery. Good luck with trying to get it before the surgery date so you can make a decision.

I love Trello, but I think OneNote is currently better for me and the things I use it for - now the task will be to get things all moved over. But I am not a huge fan of OneDrive, but it seems tad better now than it was years ago. I do the same Google and Amazon for photos. DH likes the idea of the Echo Show, so might have to grab a couple.

@CJ and Karenmarie - Have a great day!!

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

I went to see the surgeon today. He is definitely not a chatty person. He may be competent but he doesn't have the best bedside manners. He said that the tumor is a fatty tumor. I am prone to get them so it makes sense that the tumor is one. He expressed doubts about it causing me so much pain. My thought is that if it hurts when it's pressed on then what else could it be. He said that a CT Scan would show the tumor better but then he didn't order one. He just said that he'd mark where it is before the surgery. While I did have a T-Spine compression fracture many years ago and it does cause me pain from sitting too long it doesn't cause me that kind of pain and it doesn't cause my hip to hurt either. So, I scheduled the surgery for a week from Thursday. I sent my PCP a message asking if he could give me another referral so I can get a 2nd opinion. I'm hoping I'll hear back from him tomorrow. If I don't hear from him by tomorrow afternoon I'll call.

Today, I did about 45 minutes or so of ST. I also did a little walking around the house.

Lesley - I have used all 3 for documents. Unless the file is large and has to be zipped, I kind of like Google Docs. We use Trello for our business. We used to use OneDrive but we like Trello a little better. Of course, everyone is different and has to figure out what fits them best. Good luck figuring it all out. I have photos backed up in 2 different places. lol I use Google Photos a lot because my phone automatically backs up to it but I have a bunch of old photos backed up to Amazon and I use the Echo Show in my office as a digital phot frame like what you are wanting to do.
I did meal planning yesterday and today I ordered groceries.
Yeah, I was happy that the gynecologists office fit me in relatively quickly. You're right, it does break up another day. Even though I was a bit irritated that I missed my appointment through no fault of my own, there are worse things to happen and not worth holding on to a bit of anger over.
I know the cereal story is funny. Isn't the name of the cereal the funniest? I'm going to try it tomorrow morning and let you know how I like it. I hope I have a new friend from all of this. It is always fun to gain a new friend.
The first vineyard we like is Aviary. I love their Cabernet sauvignon. I haven't tried their other wines but I imagine they are just as good. The other one I rarely get is Oberon. Like I said, it's pretty powerful and will get you really tipsy from just one glass. I haven't heard of Del Dotto but if I can find it here locally in one of the liquor stores, I'll give it a try. That's a bit of a bummer that they don't ship in the summer but it makes sense.
Thanks for the good luck wishes with the surgeon.

Patti - It's always nice to get things done around the house that needs to be done. Having your hair short for the summer will be nice.

Karenmarie and CJ - I hope both of you had a good day.

Good morning

Today is going to be a quiet day. I will try to get things done in the house today. Yesterday I mowed the lawn.

Lesley: I did enjoy getting my hair cut. It did make me feel good and a lot cooler.

Cathy: My haircut is a very short one. Since the weather is supposed to be hot, I will be a little bit cooler.

Karenmarie: The weather is supposed to be hot again today. It was up to 86 yesterday,

Good morning friends,

Not a lot going on. Yesterday was a good day, quiet but good. I am trying to consolidate all of my personal documents. I had some in dropbox, some in google docs and some in Onedrive. And then I have things organized in Onenote and Trello. Trying to figure out what platform I like best so I can just move them all. I have already transferred everything from dropbox, so one down. I moved my photos from dropbox to Amazon so now on the TVs with Firestick, we can actually go back and see them. And if I buy an Echo Show, I can set them up as a digital photo frame.

Did a bit of shopping for delivery today and just a day or 2 of planning. I'll do a full week on Friday.

@Patti - I hope you enjoyed your haircut. I love getting it done, always make me feel good.

@CJ - The pool sounds wonderful. I am glad you enjoyed it and your body got some relief. Pain and exhaustion from that kind of movement is good. emoticon

@Karenmarie - I'm sorry you didn't make your snack and water goal. But you are doing so good with the snacking, I am sure you will get right back on track. And so close to your water goal, I know that will come too.

@Cathy - It stinks that you missed your appt - thru no fault of your own. At least they fit you in relatively soon, but it breaks up another day. I get why you were a tad put out, but like you said today is a new day and in the scheme of things, not worth holding on to it.

The cereal story is funny. I love the name! I hope you have a new friend, that's always fun.

What vineyards do you like in Napa? This one is Del Dotto - I love their cabernet sauvignon, but the shipments was pinot noirs, rose and sauvingon blanc. I figure I will try their pinot and see if I like those and since the weather is warmer, I would try the white/rose wines. I won't get a shipment again until September unless I want to pay for overnight since they don't ship in warm weather as it can damage the wine on a long trip. I'd be interested in others to try.

Good luck with the surgeon today.

Good Evening Cherry Blosssoms,

After breakfast I got on the treadmill. I really didn't feel like it but I knew I'd regret it if I didn't Randy took a nap while I exercised. I did 2 hikes through southern Utah which included a waterfall. Afterwards, I jumped in the shower and got ready for my appointment. I got to where they've been located for several years and a fertility place was there instead. They called the Gynecological place and told them I was there. They asked if it was okay for me to come over anyway. There new location is in a completely different part of town. They talked to me and rescheduled it for Friday at 3pm. They said that the gal who calls to confirm my appointment usually makes sure to tell patients where there new location is. I said that they didn't. I was NOT a happy camper. I know mistakes happen but I just felt like I wasted a bunch of time going down there. I normally don't hold on to stuff like this but I'm still a little peeved about this. I'll get over it and tomorrow is a new day.

This morning I received a message from a friend from a Heath/Fitness group I belong to on Facebook. She had sent me something but received a message from someone saying they had my package. She had the address wrong by one number. Anyway, I didn't know my friend was sending me anything and it was all a surprise to me. Thankfully, it ended up being my neighbor next door. I don't know her but she always waves to us and we wave to her and her husband. She brought it over this evening and was really nice. She's originally from Brazil but has been here for more than 20 years and they've lived in their house for 16 years. I told her that we should get together some time. I think I'll invite her over for coffee or tea this weekend. She is a home healthcare worker and I'm sure she's been vaccinated. Still, I'll probably have us sit outside on the patio. The thing my friend sent is called Holy Crap. lol It's a cereal that is supposed to goood for your gut and in return helps you with IBS or just going to the bathroom. I had heard of it but hadn't bought any yet. Then she mentioned that she tried it and that it was made in her hometown in Canada. She had my address from when we did a secret Santa gift exchange with others in the group. Anyway, I'm hoping I'll have a new friend next door and I can't wait to try the cereal. In case you are interested here is the link to the cereal holycrap.com/ .

First thing early tomorrow morning I have an appointment to meet the surgeon. I'm anxious to see what he has to say.

It was warm until late this afternoon today. We got rain and some hail. Thankfully, the hail was small and didn't last too long. It got really cold tonight though.

Lesley - That's nice that Jimmy has a removable cast. I imagine it's nice to have a break from the constraints of the cast from time to time and that it's much easier to ice his foot too. I imagine he's anxious to get the stitches out.
I'm sorry things at work are so slow and boring. I would think that things would start to pick up with so many people having been inoculated for Covid-19.
I know what that's like to have your husband home and it throwing off your routine. That's what happened to me when the Pandemic hit and he was working from home all the time. It's good that he beginning to realize that you you aren't bugging him, just doing what you have to do before you get to doing your work.
We did extensive research on Cappuccino machines. We've had many over the years. This time we wanted one that was going to last more than a year or two. Seattle Coffee Gear on YouTube does a lot of cappuccino reviews. We were still a little unsure as to which one we were going to get so Randy finally called them. We ended up getting a Breville Dual Boiler. It should last us a minimum of 6 years. I think it will probably last much longer than that. My sister and her husband just got a Breville Maker Barista Touch Espresso Machine. It's the one just below the one we bought.
Oh, a small wine fridge would be nice and the wine club sounds even nicer. I have a cabernet sauvignon by a Napa vineyard I really like. I've never tried any of their other wines though. There's another cabernet sauvignon from a different Napa winery that I like too but it's way more potent and rarely get it because I can only have 1 glass, unlike the other.

Patti - I'm sure you feel much better after getting your hair cut. I always feel much better after I get mine done. That's really good to hear the resistance bands are doing a great job.

CJ - I'm so glad to hear getting in the pool made you feel better. I imagine you were exhausted and sore from the exercises. How often will you be able to get into the pool. I hope it will continue to be good and helpful to you.

Karenmarie - I too am happy the cappuccino machine is working well for us. The birds really did enjoy their play time and bath time.
I'm sorry you didn't make your goal of no snacking in the night. You've been doing so well though that I'm sure you'll make it through the night again soon without snacking. Good work coming close to getting your 6 cups of water goal. I'm sorry you didn't get to do anything enjoyable for exercise but at least you got some at work.

Hello Friends - Getting in the pool felt wonderful. The water is warm and it felt good to have more freedom of movement. I like the therapist. He has worked with orthopedic rehab for 5 years. He knows how to be encouraging of small steps. You can guess how exhausted I was by the time I got home. I'm sore from the exercises but that is a different kind of pain. I am hopeful that this will help.

Good morning Cherry Blossoms,

Yesterday, I took Jimmy in for a cast change. This is now a removable cast. So, he can take it off to ice his foot and give him a break. It is just 2 halves of a cast with velcro around it He feels much better with it on. Next week, the stitches should be coming out.

I don't have much more to report. Work is still status quo - its getting boring. I know things are going to pick up soon and probably all at the same time. I need to do a little meal planning and shopping today.

@Patti - I sound like you. I don't know what is on the agenda today. I hope you got out and did your errands yesterday. I am glad your frost is done. Looking at our extended forecast, we are done too.

@Karenmarie - Great job with your snacking goal. You are almost to our goal of 6 cups of water. I know you will get it consistently soon!!

@Cathy - Yes, having Jimmy home has thrown off my routine. And even though at this point, he can get around alone, I am still needed to get him water, food, etc., since he cannot carry it around. So, its a matter of me bugging him if he needs anything before I settle in for meetings. He is starting to figure out, I am not bugging him, just doing what I have to do.

I am going to look into a cappuccino machine today. I also have to look into a small wine fridge. Our favorite vineyard in Napa, just started a wine club, so I joined and now I have a lot of wine and it needs to be temp regulated so that if we want some we don't have to chill it. first.

@CJ - hope you are well. How was the pool therapy?

Good Evening Team,

For some reason we were both exhausted after going to see our friend's mom and took a nap a little later in the day. Maybe it's because we've both seen family members in similar situations.

Today was non-stop busy. This morning I had to empty the dishwasher and straighten up the kitchen a little before breakfast. After breakfast we prepared things so the birds could get their bath/shower. I vacuumed the upper level and Randy vacuumed the stairs. He was going to vacuum the main level but never got the chance. While Randy was bathing them I was reading in the manual how to use the cappuccino machine. After they were done getting bathed I had to wipe down their cages so they don't rust. I took them to my office after we let them out. Peep didn't want to go into his box until he was mostly dry. He did get down off of my chair long enough to get something to eat and then came back to my chair until he was mostly dry. Once he went in I went down to help Randy with the cappuccino machine. The taste is really good and tastes pretty much like what you get when you go buy one. After we finished our coffee and cleaned the machine a little (there isn't much to clean) I had to run to the grocery store to get some salad greens. Came home and made us both lunch. Randy left to go to Karate and after I finished eating I went down to the basement to do my ST. Afterwards, I brought the vacuum to the basement so I could vacuum it. I was going to vacuum the main level too but I ran out of energy. Randy came home shortly after I finished. We took the birds to the bedroom and waited for Peep to decide he was ready for me to put him to bed. Daffy puts himself to bed and usually shortly after we put Peep to bed. Then we ran to the store again because Randy wanted to get some beer and we got some more Ghirardelli chocolate squares along with some Gatorade and allergy medicine. I fixed supper and now I'm catching up with all of you before I head to bed.

Tomorrow afternoon I have my annual female exam. I'm hoping I can do some meal planning and grocery shopping online. I need to get on the treadmill tomorrow too. It's supposed to rain tomorrow and Wednesday. Well, last time I checked it was.

Lesley - I hope you DH was able to get an appointment to get the cast changed out. I imagine you DH being home has thrown off everything. I hope you were able to get your meal planning and shopping done.
Our friends mom called this afternoon to let us know she read our card and how much she loved it. She keeps all of our cards and looks at them from time to time because they make her laugh. We told her in the card something about her son being a terrible son and that we love her anyway. lol She thinks it's pretty funny because it's definitely not true. She said she hasn't been able to keep anything down but Ensure and Pedialyte. She sounded a little better though. The first cup was really good. It tastes pretty much like what you get when you go out and buy one. It's so much cheaper to make it at home. Also, if I'm not mistaken you can use soy, almond or coconut milk too if you want. I'll have to double check that though. So far we are very happy with the machine and are glad we bought it.

Patti - I hope you had a good day whatevery you did. Even if the resistance bands are light it sounds like they are more resistant than the ones you were using at PT. Glad to hear the frst is done with and that your tomatoes weren't damaged.

Karenmarie - The cappuccino machine is fun. You should definitely try the cold rag on your forehead the next time you feel nauseated. I'm sorry you get nauseated a lot.
Great job not snacking in the middle of the night and for coming really close to your 6 cups of water goal.

CJ - I hope your time in the pool helped with your pain.

Good morning.

Today I do not know what is on the agenda to do. I will probably go out later to get water and pick up a prescription.

Lesley: I am doing okay.

Cathy: The resistant bands are light. The frost is done with and there was no damage to the tomatos

Karenmarie: The weather is supposed to be nice except Thursday they are calling for rain.

Good morning friends,

Yesterday was a lot of a nothing day. Today, DH is hoping to get in for an appointment for a cast change. There are plastic supports in the cast and there is one in that back that is irritating his heal. So we are waiting for them to tell us what time he can go in.

I didn't do much meal planning or shopping. I will need to sit down later today and figure out what I am lacking. I think DH being home through me off a bit.

@Karenmarie - Good job with your goals. You will get your water goal soon!! I am glad you are having fun with Jeanne and Natalie on the wii

@CJ - We have done heirlooms once before, they didn't take as well for us. We generally do well with cherry or grape or a big boy. We like to do plum tomatoes for fresh sauce, but some years those don't take either.

What is garden chili? That is great that you'll be able to see friends soon! I hope you feel good after your pool session today!

@Cathy - That's too bad about your friends mom. I hope she feels better today. How fun with the cappuccino machine! We love cappuccino when we go out to dinner - that might be a good investment for us. Let me know how it is when you have your first cup.

@Patti - Hope you're well.

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

Today we drove over to see our friends mom. Yesterday she was doing fine but today she was feeling pretty bad. She was having dry heaves and feeling pretty lousy. Our friend was there helping to take care of her. We told him that he should get her som electrolytes. It would help because she isn't eating much. She was complaining of a headache too which is another reason she needs electrolytes. We also told him to put a cold wash rag on her head or neck or hand when she's feeling really nauseated. I don't know why it helps but it does.

We bought a new cappuccino machine Thursday. It wasn't supposed to be here until Wednesday but it arrived today just before we went to see our friends mom. It was a nice surprise. We had to wash a bunch of parts before we put it together so we didn't try it out today.

I need to plan meals tomorrow and then buy groceries for the week.

Patti - Hopefully you've seen the last of the frost. It would be nice to not have to worry about covering them. I think our frost is done until next fall. What kind of bands are you using? Are they the small loop resistance bands that are used for PT and exercising? I have 5 different ones starting with light resistance all the way to heavy resistance.

CJ - Yay for sunshine again. I know, we always need the moisture so I try not to complain when we get snow in spring. I have grown a few heirloom tomatoes. I grew them from seed though. They taste better than the tomatoes you get in the store.
Your garden chili sounds good. Good for you doing big batch cooking for the week. That should be really nice to have your friends over.

Lesley - I bet it was good to be out in the city again and to spend time with your friend. I did the same today...a little bit of cooking, little bit of laundry and a little bit of tidying up. I hope you get some veggies soon from the farm stand. I'm going to try to go to the farmers market in another week or two.
I did get a lot of walking in yesterday. I hope to do more walking this week now that the weather is warming up.
I too am glad they got our friends mom's port cleaned out for the chemo. We didn't stay long but we had a nice visit.

Karenmarie - Thank you for your support with walking on the treadmill.
WTG making it through the night without snacking. Good for you coming close to getting your 6 cups of water in yesterday. Your Wii sure is getting a lot of use. Good work exercising with Natalie and Jeanne on the Wii. Doing balance exercises is great!

Hello Cherry Blossoms,

I had a great day with my friend yesterday. Too much food, too much wine but a whole lotta laughs. It felt good to be out in the city.

Today, a little bit of cooking, little bit of laundry, and a little bit of tidying up. Not really much to do. I checked the farm stand yesterday, not a lot of plants out yet - I am hoping that this week, now that it is getting warmer, they will start to have more options.

@Patti - I hope the cold nights are done. I would really like to start planting my things.

@Cathy - Sounds like you got in a lot of walking yesterday.

I am glad they got her port cleaned out for the chemo. I hope you enjoy your visit with her today.

@Karenmarie - sounds like fun doing the wii with Natalie - I am sure she had fun doing karate. Good for Elijah doing so good at school!

@CJ - I am happy that you are getting into the pool tomorrow!

Hello Friends - We are back to sunshine after a few days of rain. We need the rain so I'm not hearing people complain about it. It should be good for people prepping their home gardens, too. Stores are advertising vegetable starts. I saw some heirloom tomato plants. Have any of you tried growing those?

I get to do some big batch cooking today. It's time for garden chili. I'm also mixing up egg salad to have for lunches. That should get us started. We have friends who have now been vaccinated so we are planning to get together at the end of the week. It's been so long since we've seen each other.

Good morning everyone. I think that we are finally done with the frost and back into the Spring weather. It rained yesterday so it gave the tomatos some water.

Cathy: I took off the covering of the tomato plants yesterday and I hope that we will not have to cover them up any more. I have tried the new bands. They are a bit stronger than the first ones.

Hello Cherry Blossoms,

Last night we watched a movie on Amazon Prime. I don't recall if it was on HBO or not since we have HBO through Amazon. Anyway, the acting was really good but the story didn't do anything for me and it's like it just ended with no real conclusion. Everyone is raving about it and it won and Oscar, I think, but we both thought it was just meh. Maybe it's because Randy's maternal grandma was blind and so was his maternal aunt. His dad and one of his brothers has an artificial eye like Randy does. I was around plenty of people that were either blind, deaf or in a wheelchair when I was in college too. I don't know, I think I just felt like they kind of glazed over the top how he dealt with being partially deaf. I did do my ST yesterday.

Today, we had our bi-weekly meeting after breakfast and getting up on some emails. I did an almost 1.75 mile walk on the treadmill through the Iberian peninsula in Portugal before the meeting and then we walked to the park but didn't enter it because there were a lot of people and then back home. Watched a little television while waiting for Peep decide he was ready for me to put him to bed. Made supper and did a little work. Will be heading to bed shortly.

Tomorrow we are going to visit our friend/business partners mom. They had left the port in where they gave her the chemo from the last time. They couldn't get it cleared out so they had to take a thin wire up through her groin to clear out the port on her chest. They finally got it cleared out and she started chemo Thursday or Friday. Anyway, we won't stay long so we don't wear her out.

Lesley - That's great news about your husband being in much less pain. It's been cold here lately too and we've had little snow balls come down a couple of times but then it didn't accumulate much. It was in the 60's here today but it felt colder than the low 60's. Out weather almost mimics yours.
I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor but that's great you'll have an opportunity to buy his house. I hope it all works out for you, your DH, DS and his husband. It sounds like it would be perfect for all of you with the in-law apartment.
Yes, the breaker not working correctly is something the other company should have found. It was 1/4th the cost of having them put holes in our drywall and then patching it back up.
The walks through Turkey I did were amazing. One of the walks was through the oldest mosque in Istanbul. The detail in it was amzing. The churches and home that were built in caves in Cappadocia were really beautiful and wonderful to see. I hope you can find a ride through Turkey on your Peleton.
LOLOL It seems as though many women wear earplugs to bed because their husband snores. I believe Arlene does the same thing.
It sounds like you had a great day with getting a Pedicure and meeting a work friend for lunch in Boston.
Wow, that's wonderful your DH is no longer taking pain meds. It would make me nervous too to have him hopping up and down the stairs. That's nice that both of you DS's hung out with him all day.

Patti - I hope all of the frost is over so you can uncover your tomato plants. Good luck putting the new bands into action.
Quiet days at home are nice to have. I hope you enjoyed it.

CJ - Yay, I'm glad you'll be able to get into the pool on Monday. LOL Oh but hearing about you folding laundry sounds so interesting. :-p

Karenmarie - Thanks, I too am happy the electrician found the problem. Well, it's good and not so good that the US was negative. The bad thing is that I still have a lump on my hip just above the buttocks. Thank you for always encouraging me with my exercises.
Woohoo, great job making it through the night again with no snacking. Keep working at your 6 cups of water goal and you'll get them in regularly before you know it. That sounds like a lot of fun doing Karate with Natalie on the Wii. I felt the same way about our weather today being warmer. That's great you got to watch Natalie and Elijah. What great news to hear that Elijah is making all of his goals at school.

Good morning friends,

Today is a me day. Pedicure this morning and then meeting a work friend for lunch in Boston. I am looking forward to this - it will be a beautiful day and a great day to just be in Boston. I haven't been in the city for over a year.

DH is no longer taking pain meds and hopping up and down the stairs. So, not sure yet if that is good or bad - I am still not comfortable with it so he makes me nervous. Since it is going to be a beautiful day out, both DS will be over to hang outside with him while I am gone.

That's it for now. Have a great day all!!

Good morning Cherry Blossoms,

I think we are starting to turn a corner. Instead of taking 2 oxycodone, we are down to one for pain. DS is bringing the edibles tomorrow.

Weather yesterday was 30 and windy - and snow flurries. I thought we were done with this. Had to bundle up in my long winter coat, hat and mittens to take the dog for a walk. Today is going back to 50s and then we start a 60-70 streak.

My neighbor across the street passed away about a month ago. We had told him that when he passed, we wanted a chance to buy his house. So, now the girls are getting ready to sell it. We will get the opportunity to refuse once they put the house up and get some bids on it. We want to buy the property - DS and his husband are going to buy it, and put in an in-law apartment for us. then we can sell this house and move across the street. And if it works for them, his friends want to buy our house with our in-law apartment for their grandma to move in. Its to small for 2 of us to live in it, which is why we cannot stay in our house. So this is starting to hang over our heads now with what will happen. the process is just starting and they haven't even completed probate so probably won't go up for sale until June at least.

@Patti - What a nice way to end your PT with a massage and ice massage. I am glad you got to go shopping - hope you bought yourself something nice!!

@Cathy - Glad you finally got the electrical problem fixed. It seems like something the other company should have found - so you are right, maybe this was a blessing since this guy seems better.

I'm glad you got a really good night sleep! Seems like your body must have needed it! PS - I wear ear plugs too!

That Turkey walk sounds pretty amazing. I am not sure if we have Turkey on our Peloton - I will have to look!

@CJ - Yay the sore is healed - I hope you enjoy the pool therapy. I hope you are able to get some other options for your pain.

@Karenmarie - I hope you are well.

Hello Cherry Blossoms - Today I went to the dentist to get my permanent crown fitted. I'm glad to have that all done. I'm taking more meds for the pain so overall I'm more comfortable. I have an appt to talk with my PCP about other options which don't leave me so loopy. Thanks to you all for suggestions. I'm investigating them. My leg is healed so I can now schedule time in the pool. I even found my swim suit!!

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

Last night was a much better night. I wear ear plugs to bed because Randy can be a rather noisy sleeper but if I am even remotely awake or sleeping lightly I can hear him. This morning I didn't even hear the alarm go off or the electrician ring the doorbell and come in. He had already been here for an hour before I woke up.

Today was another busy day. Randy was going to go with me to get my US but the electrician was still here. When I got back home he had just left. He figured out waht the problem is. There is something wrong with the breaker. It's almost unheard of for a breaker to go bad. He is coming back early in the morning with two more. The one that is on there is for 3 circuits. He didn't think they had one at the shop so he said he'd come back with one for 2 circuits and then a single one. In the end, this guy was better than the others so it was a blessing in diguise.

The results of my US came back negative. My PCP said that he still believes I should see the general surgeon next week because you can definiely feel it. So, we'll see what the surgeon has to say next week.

It's been cold for the last several days. Today was about 60 degrees but it was windy and didn't feel like it. I did take a short walk outside. About .9 miles and then a little laster I walked about 1.3 miles with warm-up and cool down. I did another walk in cappadocia called fairy chimneys. Cappadocia-- Located in central Turkey is known for its distinctive " fairy chimneys," tall, cone-shaped rock formations clustered in Göreme and near by valleys. This by far has been one of my favorite places to visit, with a moon like landscape, underground cities, cave. churches daiting back to the Byzantine era, and houses carved in the rocks! I'm not religious but the churches were amazing with their carvings and paintings!

Lesley - I'm really sorry the mornings are the worst for your husband but I understand what that's like. I hope some of the stuff your DS brought over will help him. A tincture might help him too. If he gets one that has a 1 to 1 ratio of CBD and THC.
Boy, your weather really does sound like ours. I'm sure your thoughts are with your husband and trying to keep him comfortable. Hopefully nothing important or anything needing of your immediate attention at work.
It was defnitely a horrible night. I do feel better today. The electrician seems to have found the problem. I think we were better off that the others didn't come back out. It's frustrating though. It seems that people who work any type of construction are kind of lazy and don't have any common courtesy. I know not all are but we've run into things like this before.

Patti - The massage and ice massage sounds nice. Did you find anything you wanted when you went shopping? That's nice they gave you 2 more bands to work with at home.

Karenmarie and CJ - I hope both of you had a good day!

Yesterday was my last day of PT. We did some exercises and then I got a massage and then an Ice massage afterwards. I was told to do my home exercises twice a week and then slowly ween off them until I am 100 percent better. I then went shopping for a while after therapy. It became a very windy day.

Lesley: My last day went okay. I did go out and shopped a little bit.

Cathy: My PT went okay. I was given two more bands to work with at home.

Karenmarie: Pt went okay for the last day.

Good morning Cherry Blossoms,

DH is doing okay - seems to be fine all day long, but his pain seems to come back overnight and in he morning we are at square one. Still a trial and error time. We have enough narcotic only prescribed for today and tomorrow, nd then we start some edibles. DS is coming over today, and maybe today we start if he thinks they might be better. They did say the first 48hrs are the worst, so maybe he will turn a small corner today.

Not much else happening - weather is day to day - sunny and warm, and today is windy and cold. Work projects are status quo, so I guess that's not a bad thing since my focus is somewhere else. today, I really need to get myself together and see what is due.

@Cathy - OMG - what a horrible night. I hope you feel better today. I hope these electricians are able to find the problem. That stinks that the others won't come back out, but you might be better off.

@Patti - How was last day of PT? Did you go celebrate?

@Karenmarie - Its okay if you are not on - you are at your sister's and that is more important. We do miss you, so it is nice to hear from you. emoticon

@CJ - I hope your pain is getting better. I hope the sore has healed enough that you can start pool therapy.

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

It's been a nother super busy day. I took a half of a salt tablet last night just before climging into bed. It hit my stomach wrong and I tried really hard to keep it down but couldn't. Dinner came up all over me and my nightgown. A little got on my pillow case and a bunch ended up on the floor in the bathroom. Thankfully, Randy cleaned it up while I took my 3rd shower for the day. it was quite late when we finally got to sleep. We got up late and then we had to wait to eat because Randy had a meeting. After breakfast and after getting the birds settled in my office I exercised. Then I made lunch and drove over to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. Put the birds to bed not long after getting home. Did a little work on the website and made dinner. Getting ready to go to bed in a few minutes. A different electrical company is coming out to look at our electrical. The first company that had been out here a couple of times was making excuses as to why they couldn't come out so we found a different company that was recommenced to us. They'll be here at 8am and then I have to leave here aroudn 10:15 to 10:30am to go to my UltraSound.

CJ - I'm so sorry your are in so much pain. I know it's no fun to be in chronic pain. Talk to your doctor about Prolotherapy. My PT mentioned it to me when the laser therapy wasn't helping. The laser therapy did finally work. Anyway, here is a link to an article that might help. prolotherapyflorida.azureweb

I'm glad your leg is healing and that you were able to get your hair cut.

Lesley - I'm so sorry his pain is barely being controlled. Good idea to give him some toast before giving him the pain pills so that they don't upset his stomach. I've never heard of a chiller cast but it's pretty neat that they have something like that. I imagine it does make his leg a lot heavier and is probably contributing to the pain.
I hope you were able to get to all of your meetings.
My sister comes up every 5 weeks to do my hair. I always look forward to her coming up.
I did sleep better last night. I just can't sleep on my left side. It makes my hoip hurt too much. So much that the prescrioption pain reliever just barely dulls the pain.

Patti - I'm glad yor firends back is a little better. I hope you enjoyed your me time. I hope your last PT session went well.

Karenmarie - I did sleep better last night. It felt better today since I didn't sleep on my left hip last night.
Yay for getting through the night without snacking. I'm sorry you didn't make you water goal but I bet you got close. We're glad you sparked today. It's nice you've been spedning so much time at your sister's though.

Good morning everyone. Today is the last day of my PT. We shall see how it goes.

Lesley: I will wait for a couple of weeks to see if there will be more veggies at the farmers market. We have to cover up our tomatos during the night starting tonight and through Friday night.

Cathy: His back is a little better. I will get a little me time after my PT today.

Good morning,

DH came home from surgery yesterday. Pain is barely being controlled. They told him prior to it being done, the pain from this surgery is one of the worst. We seemed to be okay yesterday, and most of the night, but this morning it is killing him. I am making some toast for him before I give him more pills so that he doesn't get sick from them. We also have a chiller cast to put on his real cast, which makes his leg even heavier and is almost part of the pain, but he needs to ice his leg and this chiller is the only way to get that done.

I pushed everything from work off until today - it is going to be a heavy meeting day. Hopefully I will be able to make all of them.

@Patti - I hope your friend is feeling better. I hope your tomatoes survive the frost.

@Cathy - its too bad you didn't get the highlights, but that just means that she has to come back and visit to do them, so there is a positive note there!

I hope you feel better today after a good nights sleep (that's hoping you got a good night's sleep last night too)

@CJ - I am so sorry that you have to go through this. Since Cathy and I are having this conversation - have you ever tried the medical marijuana to see if it helps you? They gave it to my BIL when he was going through ALS and it really helped. DS is going to get some for DH since I do think it helps better than the narcotic. You might have some relief.

How fun getting bangs for a change! I hope acupuncture helps some too.

@Karenmarie - I hope you are well.

Hello Friends - Yes, I am here. Thanks for being patient with my ups and downs. My pain is back up again. argh. Tonight I have been able to find a position which does not hurt --Yay--so the worst of it comes when I have to get up. I'm able to do seated ST and stretches which I do every day. My leg now is scabbed over and much smaller. It feels good to know my body is able to heal itself.

I got my hair cut. I decided to try bangs for a while. It was nice getting out on a super sunny day. ( It was in the 80's over the week-end.) I also went for acupuncture. emoticon

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

I didn't sleep all that well again last night. I had a hard time getting up and getting going before my sister got here. She ended up forgetting the foils she uses for the highlights so she just did a root touch up. It was for the better I think because my hip was bothering me even with the nerve pain reliever. I took two Aleve which helped. We had a nice time talking.

I'm not feeling real talkative tonight. I feel really exhausted. I didn't get a chance to work on the website either.

Lesley - I know I can't sleep well if Randy isn't in bed next to me. That's great to hear the surgery went well and didn't take as long as it normally does. Medical marijuana usually works better for pain than narcotics, imo. I'd much rather use MMJ than a narcotic. It's not so hard on your system like narcotics.
Yeah, the page that has the problem is probably something simple like a space when there shouldn't be one or vice versa. I will have to look at it tomorrow.
That was really nice of him to have a Breast Cancer event in honor of one of his college professors. I love stories like your sons where a one time event ended up becoming a business. I hope he is able to do the event planning full time eventually since that's obviously something that he's really good at.
I'm 51 and will be 52 in August. I have a bunch of stuff in my cart for Whole Foods but I need to go back through it and take out what I don't need/want. That's cool that you had put a bunch of stuff in your cart and left it there until you were ready to check out several days later while on vacation still.

Patti - I'm sorry your friend's back was really hurting him. It sounds like he was in a lot of pain. I'm sorry he had a rough night as well.
I only get me time in the mornings on the weekends.

Karenmarie - I hope you had a good day.

CJ - I hope you are alright and can check in soon.

Good morning.

It was a quiet day yesterday. My friend's back was really hurting so he went to bed early. He could not sleep. He had a rough night. He will probably sleep most of the morning. We are supposed to get a frost on Weds night.

Lesley: We will have to cover up our tomatos Weds night. It is supposed to get down to 35 that night.

Cathy: I get me time early in the mornings.

Karenmarie: Yeah the rain does help with the tomatos.

Good morning Cherry Blossoms,

Slept crappy last night. I think it is because DH is not here. I was very used to not having him home for years when he worked 3rd shift. But last night I think it bothered me. Riley must have had a bad night too, because usually he gets up with me, and he is still sound asleep in his bed!! His surgery went well - it is usually about a 3+ hour procedure and they finished it in about 2.5. Doctor said no surprises and when they opened it up, it all was exactly as they expected - inflammation from his rheumatoid and from his previous injuries. Not sure what time I need to get him today. I expect late morning. DS is going to the marijuana shop for him to get some edibles to help with his pain. As they say bone pain is always the worst and if he can use this instead of a narcotic he will be better off.

@Patti - We finally have some plants at the market - going to to go this week to grab some lettuces and spinach. Still too cold for us to plant anything like tomatoes.

@Karenmarie - Great job with your snacking and water goals! That was nice that you were able to do stuff to remember your mom on her birthday.

@Cathy - Sounds like quite a busy day yesterday. I am glad you found the page with the problem. Hopefully you find the cause (a special character, a missing space or too many spaces??).

No, the event planner is my older son. He started his business when he was in college have a Breast Cancer event to honor one of his teachers and it has grown to have raised 3million for one of the Boston hospital cancer center. So, he is a Cardiac nurse at MGH and does his business on the side. He hopes to grow it enough that by the time he is 35 he can quit nursing. The pandemic obviously through a monkey wrench into that plan, but he is well on his way.

I was born in 1962 - just turned 59 in February. When I was actually going to work is when I started with the Stop and Shop Peapod, so shopping at night was a thing for me. And now continue it with either Prime or Instacart. Usually they let you do it 2 days in advance. When we went on vacation, I did all the shopping, left it in my cart and then when it was time, checked out while I was away for delivery the day after we got home.

@CJ - I hope you are okay.

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

I didn't sleep well last night and I feel certain it's because the Claritin I took interfered with one of my meds. Needless to say, I won't be doing that again tonight. Today was an espeically busy day. I made breakfast while Randy did work for his day job. We had to wait to eat though because he was in a meeting. Companies that do D.O.D. (Department of Defense) work love to have meetings. Sometimes they have like 3 in a row with no break for lunch. Which really irritates both of us but there isn't anything either of us can do about it. Anyway, after breakfast Randy had to go into work for a little bit. I had just gotten the birds settled in my office and then I went downstairs to do my ST. When Randy came home we drove over to the coffee shop on the west side of town but they were closed so we drove over to the one that's just across the street from where I have laser therapy. He dropped me off at laser therapy, went and got one of my prescriptions, went home and changed then came and picked me up, dropped me off at home and went to Karate. While he was gone, I ate my lunch, washed dishes and cleaned the birds beds. He got them some millet and talked on the phone with a friend while I tried to get the birds into the bedroom so we could put them to bed. I was unsuccessful and when Randy came up he does makes certain noises in an old Christmas paper tube which got them out of their boxes. lol After we got them to bed I made dinner. I just got done taking a shower so my hair will be clean for my sister to do my hair tomorrow. We'll be heading to bed shortly.

I was able to do a little bit of work on the website today and have narrowed the problem I'm having to one particular page that hes a bunch of definitions for certain things in it. Hopefully after my sister leaves tomorrow and after I get on the treadmill I'll be able to look at this page and see if I can figure out what the problem is.

We got snow again tonight. Last I looked, about 4 hours ago, the yard was covered and so were rooftops but the ground is too warm for it to stick to it. The temp this afternoon was about 55 degrees.

Lesley - I hope you DH's surgery went well and that your son was able to check on him before he left to go home. I'm sure both of you will be relieved to have him home.
Even if you don't need to food prep for the week it's nice to keep the habit up. That's exciting that you DS event planning business is going well enough for him to move it out of his basement. I hope he'll be able to get his stuff moved into the place he'll be renting soon. Obviously this isn't the same son that lives with you, correct?
You aren't that much older than me if you have another year before you'll be 60. You're only 7 years older than I am. I never thought to do my grocery shopping at night and set it up a day or 2 in advance. Whole Foods is usually available but I usually order groceries from the during the week when slots seem to be available more.
You are so right, it's usually something simple and stupid and thankfully I've narrowed it down some. I have a feeling I know what the problem is but I will have to confirm my suspicions tomorrow.

Patti - With all the rain you are getting I imagine your tomatoes will get pretty big. It's nice to have me time. I rarely get me time.

Karenmarie - I too was glad I was able to get groceries delivered quidkly. I think I've figured out part of the problem with the website. Hopefully I'll figure it all out tomorrow. Thank you for your continued support on my exercising.
WTG, making it through the night without snacking and making your 6 cups of water goal. I'm sorry you had to celebrate your mom's birthday without her. That's nice you were able to enjoy food she like and that you went to see your Aunt. It sounds like a lovely way to celebrate your mom.

CJ - I hope you are doing well and that your fibro isn't too painful.

Good morning friends,

Today, DH goes in for surgery. Taking him to the hospital by 10:30. I am not allowed in with him, so just dropping him off. DS is working today, so when he finishes his shift, will go check on him tonight. He comes home tomorrow.

Don't have much to report from yesterday. Overall it was a quiet day. Went to the fish market and food prep for the week. Kind of forgot that DH is now home, so I can cook at night, no need to prep for the week. DS also is now renting out a space for his event planning business. It was time to move it out of his basement. We went to see the space since it needs work before he can move in - the painters finished and it looks great. Excited for him to get in there and start using it.

@Cathy - That's how our food delivery is. I think that's why I use it so much. I would go at 7am. But the 7am hour is still only for those over 60 (I have another year emoticon ). So, I grocery shop in my jammys at night and set up my delivery a day or 2 in advance. Most times Whole foods is unavailable. Instacart usually only has late afternoon evening slots.

Good luck with the website. I hate when something doesn't work and you cannot figure out why. then when you do find it, its something stupid.

@CJ - I hope things are okay.

@Karenmarie - I hope you had a nice weekend.

@Patti - Glad you had a nice time with your sister! I hope you did have a relaxing day!!

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

After I got up I ordered groceries before I even fixed breakfast. Usually I can get them delivered from Whole Foods within a short time frame but there weren't any spots available. I even thought, I'll just run over there and pick them up if I can at least order them and have them ready but they didn't have any spots available for that either. I guess everyone decided to grocery shop early this morning for the week ahead. I ended up getting groceries from a local grocery store that's owned by Kroger. They got me my groceries relatively shortly after I ordered them too.

I worked on the website some again today after I did another virtual walk through Istanbul on the treadmill. I didn't get very far with the website though. One thing isn't working right and neither of us can figure out why. I'm hoping I can get more work done on the website tomorrow.

My sister isn't coming tomorrow after all. I forgot I have my last laser therapy appointment tomorrow. If I feel like I need to go back again I will. It gets expensive though paying out of pocket. Anyway, so my sister will be coming up Tuesday or Wednesday instead. It depends upon when some bar stools they bought are supposed to be here. She'll know tomorrow whether she'll be coming up Tuesday or Wednesday.

Lesley - I bet Riley looks handsome now that he's been groomed. That's cool you got out one of your old unused TV's and put a firestick on it and found an old end table that it could be put on. That will be nice to put it out on the deck and watch a movie or something else when it gets nicer.
It may seem like a got a lot done but I didn't feel like I had. The last several days have been like that. I haven't been able to get as much work done on the website as I would like to. Yeah, I'm looking forward to having my sister come up to do my hair so that we can catch up.
I too never realized how much our weather was so much like yours until you returned to SP and we got to know each other. Oh gosh, yeah, our winters aren't as brutal as yours since you get the No'Easters. Our winters are mile now compared to what they were when I was growing up. We used to get a lot more snow. Our saying is similar to yours. We say..."Wait 5 minutes and the weather will change!" lol Sometimes we can be getting snow or rain but my mom who lives about 20 - 25 miles south of us won't be getting anything at all.

Patti - Have fun hitting the stores after your PT session. Hope you enjoyed your calm, relaxing day.

Karenmarie and CJ - I hope both of you had a good day!

Good morning everyone. Today should be a calm relaxing day.

Lesley: I had a good time with my sister yesterday. I think I will wait awhile before I go to the farmers market. Hopefully next month they will have veggies.

Karenmarie: I had a good time with my sister. I think I overate though. Should have had a salad instead of a burger.

Cathy: It is supposed to rain Weds but not til later in the afternoon so I should be okay to it the stores.

Good morning Cherry Blossoms,

Yesterday, I got the dogs bedding all washed and fluffed up. He is all nice and groomed.

Then I figured that when DH comes home from surgery, one place he will want to sit, is our sunroom, which has no TV. So, I got one of our old unused TVs and put a firestick on. Found an old end table and now there is a TV out there. It will be good once the weather gets nice since it is near the deck, so we can put it outdoors too and watch a movie or something.

@Patti - Too bad there still were no veggies at the market. I hope you had a good lunch with your sister!

@CJ - I am glad your session went well. I hope that the sore heals quickly and that no others break through. My fingers are tightly crossed that you can start this to get some relief. Getting a haircut always makes me feel good - enjoy your day.

@Karenmarie - Get some rest from your vaccine. Good job with your goals - you are doing great!

@Cathy - Even thought you woke up late, seems like you got a lot done. That's great that you will be getting your hair done by your sister so that you can catch up.

Its funny - I never realized Colorado's weather until DS lived out there. That's why he wants to return - it is very similar to our weather, but I guess your winters are not as brutal since we get the Nor'Easters. As they say here, just blink and the weather will change!!

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!!

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

We got up late and then I needed to water several of my orchids. I did a little work on the website today. I also texted with my mom and sister a little. I got on the treadmill this afternoon too.

My sister is coming up on Monday to trim and put highlights in my hair. It will be nice to see her again and catch up with her.

Lesley - Your weather sounds like the weather we typically get in the spring and late fall. Sometimes we get all 4 seasons in one day!
Wow, that's amazing that the higher elevations got a foot! It's good you do live on the coast.
I'm glad you got your hubby's bloodwork, paperwork and Covid tests completed for his surgery. It's a good thing you work where his surgery is going to be and they were able to just share the documents with you.
I imagine Riley will feel better getting groomed and having clean blankets to lay on.
I had to put my thermal underwear bottoms on last night before getting into bed. I also had to put my sweater on yesterday when I went for laser therapy.
Yeah, Randy is the one that found out about the Food Network cooking lessons. It will be nice to use it once the electrical is fixed.

Patti - That's nice you and your sister are going out to lunch. I hope you have a great time. That would be nice to hit the Marshals and Ross as well next week.

CJ - I'm sorry you have a wound on your leg from lymphedema. That's great that it's already partly healed. I hope you'll be able to get into the pool in a week. That will be really nice to get your hair cut. It should make you feel a lot better.

Karenmarie - The weather was better today but bitterly cold. I think it's supposed to warm up starting on Monday though. Thanks for you encouragement and support; I appreciate it. I too hope the electrician comes out soon.
Woohoo, great job making it through the night again without snacking and making your 6 cups of water goal yesterday. Boy, I understand how you feel. I felt tired after getting the vaccine too. I hope you feel less tired tomorrow.

Hello Friends - the aqua therapy session went very well. I'm all set to start as soon as the wound on my leg is completely healed. When you have lymphedema the fluid builds up and breaks through the skin and it's not good to be in a pool with an break in the skin. I only have one and it is already partly healed so I'm hoping I can start in about a week.

Tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut. emoticon

Good morning everyone. Just got back from the farmers market and grocery shopping. I will be getting ready to go out for lunch with my sister later on. There was not much at the farmers market today. Mainly just plants and flowers.

Lesley: I got some things organized yesterday. I will be going to Target or somewhere next Weds to celebrate my last day of PT

Cathy: There is also a Marshells and a Ross there. I may hit them next Weds.

Good morning friends,

Yesterday was a nor'Easter for us. Rain, then sleet, and snow and the wind was crazy! Snow for us was more slushy and it was gone by afternoon, but the higher elevations got in some place a foot! Definitely lucky to live on the coast!

We got all of DHs paperwork and bloodwork and Covid tests completed for his surgery Monday so it was kind of a crazy day since for some reason the office couldn't send us the documents. Since his surgery is where I work, they were able to share the documents with me, and we finally got them all.

Today, Riley is going to get groomed, so I will be washing all if his bedding so he has clean blankets to lay on later. I did grocery shopping already and they will be delivered today. I still need to go to the fish market. I'll do that when I go back and pick Riley up.

@CJ - emoticon emoticon That's awesome!!! I hope you have your pool appointments for next week!! I hope it helps some of the pain.

@Cathy - I had to put on my long winter coat to go out yesterday OVER my sweater. This weather is crazy!

We use the echos to talk from room to room too! It will help post surgery for DH when he need help. I didn't realize about the show devices - maybe I look into that for our kitchen!

@Patti - I would definitely go celebrate with a Target outing after your next PT appointment! I hope you got some stuff organized!

@Karenmarie - I hope things are well.

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

I woke up to about 3 inches of snow on the ground. The poor trees have only recently started to get their leaves. I hope the cold temp tonight doesn't set them back. Snow flurries have been coming down this evening but no real snow. It's supposed to get down to 25 degrees tonight. I had to wear a sweater to laser therapy this afternoon.

After breakfast I got the birds settled in my office and in their boxes. Then I went downstairs to walk on the treadmill for a bit and do my ST exercises. I bought a heart rate strap to use whe with iFit on the treadmill. It's cool because it will lower the incline if your heart rate gets too high and lower it again if it's still too high and eventually lower the incline if it's too high and vice versa.

We have Amazon Echo Show devices in our offices so that if I want to talk to Randy I don't have to go all the way downstairs to the basement and he doesn't have to come all the way up here to talk to me. Randy recently bought a bigger one for the Kitchen because you can find recipes from the Food Network on there and it will tell you step by step how to make it. He thought it would get him to learn how to cook and cook things he wants to cook. It will have to wait though until the electrician can come out and fix our outlets.

Lesley - Glad you are getting some much needed rain. Yeah, we got about 3 inches overnight. Good luck to your DH with the testing and forms he has ti fill out. I had to laugh at your comment about being able to survive with him being home for 3 months.
We might give Discovery+ a try. I'm tired of Netflix and HBO hasn't had any shows on lately that are interesting.
Yes, electrical problems make me nervous too wondering what is going on behind the walls.
I too am glad I finally got an appointment to get the US.
I know, I let out a little laugh when I read that she had named the stuffed elephant Mademoiselle Fifi!

Patti - Good luck getting things organized. That's nice that Target is just around the corner from the therapist. That would be nice to go out and celebrate after your last PT next Wednesday.

CJ - Yay, I hope things went well with the aqua therapist. I know there are some PT places here in town that have a therapy pool but I've never been to one that did. It's nice that it will be just you and the therapist in the pool. I hope you'll be able to get into the pool soon.

Karenmarie - I hope you had a good day.

emoticon Yes! I get to see the aqua therapist TODAY! It will be the preliminary exam meeting so we can make a treatment plan. The people are so nice. It is a small PT therapy pool (warmer water) and it will be only the therapist and I in the water. Isn't that great? I'm guessing it will be sometime next week when I can get in the pool. emoticon

Good morning everyone. So far it is a quiet morning. Today I am going to try to get things organized.

Lesley: I am feeling better than I did at the beginning. My arm was really sore then.
Karenmarie: It was a good cook out that night.
Cathy: Yeah target is just around the corner from the therapist. May go out next Weds after my last PT and sort of celebrate.

Good morning Cherry Blossoms,

Well, its pouring today. Will let up a bit later on, but its much needed rain, so no complaining. There are places that have 4 inches of snow, so really not going to complain.

DH has a lot of testing and forms to fill out for his LOA from work. Boy - I'll have him home for 3 months - I hope we survive emoticon - LOL.

We purchased the streaming service Discovery+. I love all of the show that are on it - learning lots about cooking, and now watching a documentary on the Estonia which is very interesting. I am sick of mainstream shows, sick of news, and not much for movies, so this is right up my alley.

@Patti - That's great to only need one more PT session. I hope you are feeling good from them.

@Karenmarie - That's too bad the lot is too small to build. That's probably why it was a prize for something - not much can be done with it. Maybe you could sell it to a neighbor to expand their property. Sounds like a nice day walking in the mall even thought it was raining. Watching the movie must have been a nice night.

@CJ - Thanks for turning in the points. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Stephanie. Did you get a pool appt?

@Cathy - I agree, as slow as this week as seemed for me, it has flown by. I hope you get an electrician out soon. All electrical problems that I cannot see make me nervous to wonder what is happening behind the walls.

Sounds like you won't see the surgeon before your surgery, so that stinks. I am glad you got the appointment for the US though finally.

Mademoiselle Fifi - that's funny!! Made me smile on this crappy, rainy, sleety, cloudy day!!

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

I didn't sleep well and attempted to nap after breakfast but wasn't very successful. I got up and had some coffee. I made myself get on the treadmill. I didn't feel like it but I'm glad I did. Not much else going on here. I have another Laser Therapy appointment tomorrow. This week has flown by.

We are going to have to have an electrician come out again because the electrical outlets in one part of the kitchen still isn't working correctly. The voltometer was showing 119/120 after they left the last time they were here but then a few days ago it dropped really low and was even bottoming out. There's obviously a problem with the wiring in the wall that coonects the 5 outlets together. I took a video and Randy sent it to the electrician. Hopefully, they'll come out soon.

I finally got my UltraSound scheduled for next Thursday. That was the earliest I could get in at any of the 3 hospitals in the network. Funny thing is that I got offered to see the surgeon sooner again but it would have been the day before the US so I decided to not take it.

We got this evening. I don't know if it's still snowing or not. I bet the rabbits are tired of the snow. I'm not sure if we're supposed to get snow through tomorrow or not. I haven't looked at the forecast.

I forgot to tell all of you that when we went to our friends mom's birthday party we gave a her a little stuffed elephant that had a pink tutu sewn around it's wait area. She sent us a thank you card and said that she was so happy to get the picture of Randy and I and that she loved her little elephant. She named it Mademoiselle Fifi. LOLOL

CJ - I'm glad you eye appt went well. Isn't it nice when you get good news about your health? I am dealing with dry eyes too but I'm only doing drops twice a day plus ointment at night. I hope that doing the drops more often will help. Yay, I'm glad the PT referral was sent. I hope you were able to make an appt at the pool.
I hope that one of the two positions she's applying for works out. I'll keep my fingers crossed for her.
I really did have some rough days after my 2nd vaccine shot. I'm not happy about having another surgery. This will be my 11th surgery unless I'm forgetting about other operations I've had. lol After so many I've almost lost track of all the ones I've had. I too hope it will clear up my pain though. I finally got the Ultrasound scheduled. That's a great idea to ask to get up and move around. I never thought to ask. I will ask though, if I ever have to get a filling again.

Lesley - That's good you have a small project at work to keep you busy for a while. That's nice you went out to your favorite seafood restaurant. I understand your predicament with getting sick of all the food you make. I use an app called Mealime that I like a lot. It has many different kinds of food to fix. That sounds nice to plant flowers around the area where the tree used to be.
I hope things work out one way or the other for the position.
Yeah, I know she'll be happy to have the CBD tincture. Yes, she took it 3 years ago when she had her chemo. It really helps with the nausea. I was tempted to get her an edible that has a little bit of THC in it hoping it would help her appetite but for now I just did the CBD tincture. She even asked our friend/her son for it.
Hmm, perhaps that is what happened is that the hospital connected with the other hospital and is sharing information.
I imagine his trigger finger is probably related to his Rhuematoid arthritis.

Patti - I have 2 more sessions and then I'll be done unless I decide to go back for more. It's good you stopped to get a little shopping done while you were already out and about. Glad you didn't get too much rain.

Karenmarie - Thank you for your encouragement with my exercises. I too am glad I was able to get some high potency CBD for our friends mom. I did finally get the US scheduled. Hmm, that's a bummer that it's too small to put a house on it.
WTG making it through the night with no snack again. Keep trying to get your 6 cups of water in and you'll make it sooner or later. That sounds nice to go for a walk in the mall with Jeanne and Natalie. That's nice you had lunch a Panera Bread. I am not sure if I've ever seen the movie Sandlot. I know it's been around for a long time but I don't think I ever got around to watching it. I'm glad you got to watch with Jeanne and family.

Good morning. Just got back from PT. I have more session and I will be done. I stopped off at Target afterwards and got a little shopping done. It is supposed to be a little cool today.

Lesley: The meal was good. We try to cook out as often as we can.

Cathy: Yeah we got some rain last night but not too bad.

Karenmarie: The weather was not too bad. We had a good cook out with the pork chops and potatos.

CJ: We are trying to grow tomatos. We have some cilantro that we are growing as well. Thought that two of the tomato plants were lost causes but there are new leafs growing so it may survive.

Good morning friends,

Today is another slow day in the neighborhood. Later yesterday I was on a meeting, so I have a small project for work that will keep me busy for a bit. We are getting lots of rain later tonight, so definitely getting the dog out for walks today since Friday is going to be wet and cold.

Going to search my cookbooks today. DH and I are getting sick of all food. Need to find some interesting changes. He is getting out of work early today, so we are going to our favorite seafood restaurant for an early dinner later.

We had a tree taken down a year ago just outside of our kitchen, and it is now just a bare grassy area. Looking now to border the area with flowers, so I ordered some plants from a site Jackson and Perkins. I had saved a bunch, and then forgot about them, and when I went to order some of them, they were all sold out. I ordered what I could, and figured we can plant those, see what else we might need and order that next year.

DS has an opportunity to interview as a Radiology Tech Aide position in the hospital that he is working for and my friend is the boss's admin asst. She is getting him the interview - the bad thing is that the position is only 8hrs a week. He cannot leave his full time job since he needs the money and benefits, but doesn't want to pass up an opportunity. So we will see what they tell him at the interview.

@Patti - Grilled pork chops and potatoes sound great. We really haven't done much grilling - maybe that's a good idea for us. We are getting about 2 inches of rain coming in today, and the higher areas are getting 4=8 inches of snow.

@Karenmarie - That's kind of fun to go on a hunt for your land. Is it possible to do something with it - are there other homes in the area?

@Cathy - That's great that you were able to get the CDB for your friend's mom. Has she taken it before with the other treatments? Its nice you spent time with him.

That's odd about the 2019 result. Sometimes these new digital health records connect with other hospitals so that all of your records are available where ever you go. I wonder if that is what happened and the new office is flagging it as new.

DH is a respiratory therapist so no, he is not on a computer a lot like me. That's why it is so strange that his wrists and fingers are giving him so many issues. It is probably related to his Rheumatoid arthritis in some way.

@CJ - Things are going well for you - I hope the pool appt comes quickly.

Thanks for your thoughts for DH - I am sure you can relate to how discouraged you feel when pain does not subside. His fingers are actually worse than his ankle and they lock up now often during the day.

An opportunity did open up for DS - we will see what comes of it.

Everyone have a nice Thursday!!

Hello Friends - the eye appt. went well. My vision is good and most everything is fine. How good to hear that something is working well!!! I'm dealing with dry-eye from the meds I take and she wants me to use the drops 4 times per day now instead of 2. That should help a lot.

The other good news is that the PT referral has been sent so I will call tomorrow to see when I can get an appt at the pool. emoticon

Thanks everyone for your good wishes for Stephanie's job application. She is also applying for a short -term work-out-of-class position. That would be a good way to get more experience, too.

Cathy - Good to hear that you are having a good day. After your 2nd vaccine you sure had some tough days. And I'm sorry you are having to go through another surgery. I hope it will clear up your pain. I know what a relief it is when pain is resolved. Bummer about the Ultrasound mix-up. Hopefully you can get it all scheduled before the surgeon appt. I've got more dental stuff to do, too. Being in one position for a long time sure is a strain. I'm going to ask them to let me get up and move around.

Patti - Yum - your dinner sounds great. I admire you getting your garden planted. We're not ready for that yet. Temps are getting into the 70's but it's still pretty cold at night. Hope you can get the veggie plants soon. What all are you wanting to grow?

Karenmarie - Yay for getting through the night without snacking. You are doing well with your exercise and water, too. I know you said you didn't get all 6 cups of water - but you did succeed in getting some. emoticon

Lesley - Wow - you and your family are going through so many changes. It makes sense to take the pressure off of moving right now, You'll know when the time is right. I'm sending healing blessings for your hubby's surgeries. Being in pain when you walk has to be very discouraging - I'm glad there is something that will help him move without pain. I hadn't heard of trigger finger so I looked it up. Oh, my - not good in so many ways. I'm sure he will be glad to be on the other side of the operations. Sounds like your son is making wise choices about his education and work. So many things are different because of Covid. It sure makes it hard to make plans. I hope some opportunities open up for him to build his experience.

emoticon

Good Evening Team,

I had a good day today. I exercised, showered quickly and went to my laser therapy appointment. We went by our favorite local coffee shop afterwards to get some coffee to go. Came home and did a little bit of work before putting the birds to bed. Watched a little television with them before we headed to the medical marijuana shop to get some high potency CBD for our friends mom that will be going through chemo. We dropped it off at our friends house and spent a little time talking with him. He looked much better than he did on Saturday for our Google Meet company meeting. Came home and heated up leftovers. Will be heading to bed shortly now.

My cheek is still a bit swollen and a tiny bit painful but I imagine it will be back to normal tomorrow. I sent a message to my PCP because I got a message from the health portal that my test results were in. I haven't had any tests done lately so I didn't know what it could be. It said that my Colonoscopy that was done in 2019 was normal. I had a completely different doctor in 2019 and the Colonoscopy I had done was through a hospital that my new doctor isn't associated with. So, I sent him a message trying to figure out what was going on. They had me send them a copy of the message. I also asked if they had sent the new US orders so that I could get it scheduled. They sent the orders in this morning. If I don't hear from the US department in the morning I'll call so that I can schedule it. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can get it done Friday.

Lesley - I need to de-clutter my off ice desk. You've inspired me to make an effort to do that soon. I'm sorry many of your work projects are in the waiting stage. That's great your presentation at 7pm last night went well. Great job getting in 8,000 steps. Some days I get that many in and other days I don't.
Your puzzle sounds interesting. I can't remember the last time I did a puzzle. I hope you were able to find a project around the house to do.
Yes, it certainly is brutal sitting in the dentist chair for so long. Thankfully, I wasn't in much pain since I had taken one of the pain pills the doctor prescribed.
I think my visit in 2 weeks with the surgeon is to meet with him and talk about the surgery and schedule it. I don't think it's the actual surgery but I don't know for sure. I'm hoping I'll get the US Friday or Monday.
I understand that feeling of having a feeling that a ton of weight was lifted off of you once decided not to try to force selling your home. I also understand your desire to move into a smaller home. I think the opportunity will come when you least expect it to.
Ouch, I'm sorry to hear about your husbands problem with his feet made him have problems with his ankles. I had a problem with my ankles falling inward too but it was because I have high arches in my feet and for the longest time I didn't have proper support for them. I don't have a problem with my ankles or feet now as long as I wear my arch supports in my shoes. That also means that I can't walk around the house in my slippers for long. I'm sorry about your husbands carpal tunnel and that he now has trigger finger. Does he use the computer a lot for his work? I hope that both surgeries will leave him pain free once he recoveres.

Patti - Your dinner sounds good. I'm glad you didn't get as much rain as was called for.

Karenmarie - I too am glad my dental visit wasn't as bad as it could have been. The laser therapy appointment went well. I too hope I can get the ultrasound soon too.
WTG making it through the night without snacking. I'm sorry you didn't make your goal of 6 cups of water. Hopefully tomorrow will be better and you'll get all of your water in. I'm glad you were able to get outside for a walk. That's really nice that your mom willed some property to you and that it's all woods. What do you think you'll do with the property?

Good morning. Last night we cooked out. We had grilled pork chops and also grilled the potatos. It was good.

Lesley: It rained a little bit and supposed to rain at noon. Glad we do not have to deal with snow.

Cathy: The rain was not as bad as they were calling for.

Good morning friends,

Busy day yesterday. I did a little bit of uncluttering in my office and the hallway closet. I did a little bit of work - most of my work projects are in a waiting stage. I did a presentation to a group of doctors last night at 7pm that went well. I got 8,000 steps in which means I didn't spend my whole day sitting on my butt!

I also continued work on a puzzle I had started. The edges are done and now its sorting out the inside pieces - its kind of strange, the piece is called Rainy Night Walk and its all splashes of color, so the only way you can sort it, is by the back which is lettered from A-H. I have to sort out by the back and then work on a specific lettered area. its going to be tough.

Today, not really sure what I am going to do. It is a light day at work and right now, cannot find a project around the house. I am sure I can find something if I look hard enough.

@CJ - emoticon Hopefully the referral for the water therapy moves right along and you get in there. that's great!!! Fingers crossed for Stephanie!! Good luck at the eye doctor - I need to go too - made my appt for the beginning of June.

@Patti - I hope your rain isn't too bad - we are nice today and then it is going to roll in for us. But along with the rain is snow - Friday is supposed to be a mess of a day here.

@Karenmarie - I hope things are well!

@ Cathy - That's good that the dentist wasn't too bad. Sitting in that chair for any length of time is brutal, never mind being in pain.

I am hoping that you get in for your US - that stinks that you won't see the surgeon before you have surgery.

Yes, you are right - the opportunity will come to sell the house - I need to stop trying to force it along. The mindset changed yesterday - and funny, when I came to that decision, I suddenly had a ton of energy. It was like it was weighing me down.

DH has flat feet. Now he has "sinus tarsi syndrome". Since he has no arch support his ankle is starting to "fall" inwards, and with his Rheumatoid, it exacerbated it. He will lose side to side movement - so playing golf will be an adjustment, but he will not have anymore pain while walking. And he has had Carpal Tunnel surgery in the past, and now he has trigger finger on the same hand. His fingers bend as if making a fist and will not release - and when he pushes them straight, he is in unreal pain. So that needs to be released surgically. We are hoping that once all of this is done, it is the last things for his pain and he can resume a normal life.

Everyone have a great day!!

Good Evening Cherry Blossoms,

Today I paid some bills and got caught up on emails before going to the dentist this afternoon. The procedure at the dentist wasn't fun but at least they didn't have to put a crown on. They only had to drill out half of the filling because the other half wasn't decaying. I'm thankful I had the prescription pain reliever for nerves because I'm not sure I could have sat/laid in the dentist chair for so long if I hadn't had it. I know my backside would have been in quite a bit of pain otherwise.

Tomorrow afternoon I have my laser therapy appointment and then I need to run a couple of errands and maybe stop by our friends mom's place to give her a card. She's supposed to start chemo this week.

There was a problem with the orders for my ultrasound and they had to contact the doctor's office to let them know the orders were wrong. I was offered a chance to meet with the surgeon in a couple of days but if I don't have the ultrasound tomorrow, it would be pointless to see him. He wouldn't be able to tell me anything if he doesn't have the ultrasound results. It would be nice if I could see the surgeon before 2 weeks from tomorrow but I'm not going to count on it.

Lesley - I'm glad your son found out why he didn't get accepted into the school. I'm sorry that because of the pandemic and limiting the number of students admitted made it to where he didn't get accepted. At least he knows and he can do things like get certifications and hopefully his boss can help him get more experience in other areas so that next year he'll be more eligible, so to speak. It sucks that he has to wait another year though and even more so when he's 30yrs old.
You know, we kept wanting to move back out here from Missouri for at least 5 years and I had almost given up on the idea and then we came out here to get a newer vehicle. We ended up taking my grandpa's vehicle since it had just been sitting in his garage for several months after he died. While we were out here Randy started submitting his resume to places using my mom's address and he finally got a job after a couple of months. I guess what I'm trying to say is that perhaps the oppotunity will come for you to sell your home and move into a smaller home.
Ouch, the ankle fusion sounds painful. What did he do to need to have an ankle fusion and then wrist surgery 3 weeks later. He's going to be in pain for a while!
Yes, I'm happy that relief is on the horizon with the surgery. I too hope I can get the UltraSound done soon so he can see what he will be dealing with. The medicine definitely takes the edge off the pain. It doesn't get rid of it completey but at least it's tolerable now.

Patti - It was snowing a little bit here earlier tonight but I think it's supposed to turn into rain. I hope you don't get any flooding with all of that rain.

CJ - Yay, I'm glad you'll be able to get to the pool for water therapy now. I know I sleep really well after I've been in the pool.
I really hope Stephanie makes it into the next round for the different job she's applying for with the county. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for her. It's times like now during this pandemic that you realize you have much to be grateful for.
Good luck with your eye appointment. I hope it goes well.

Karenmarie - I hope you had a good day!

Hello Friends - I just heard from my Primary Care person's office. They are writing out the referral for water therapy. emoticon I was also able to refill one of the pain meds. It really helps me sleep better which is an all around win.

Stephanie is doing the second round of written interview questions for a different job with the county. We are hoping that if she makes it past this stage she can get a personal interview. It would be an advancement in work and pay which we sure could use. At the same time we are grateful she has a job!!

Tomorrow I get my eyes checked, It has been overdo since Covid.

Good morning. Had a quiet day yesterday. It poured rain last night. We are not supposed to get rain until Weds and it is going to last through Friday.

Lesley: It was a nice cookout.
Karenmarie: I did have a good time but was glad to get home.
Cathy: Yeah I am hoping that maybe this Saturday they will have more veggies at the farmers market.

Good morning friends,

My son had his meeting with the school. In a normal world they would accept 18 students. In a Covid world, they can only accept 12 (social distancing at the clinical hospital sites). The 12 students had more clinical experience than he did - he has only been working in a hospital for 6 months. If it was a normal world, he would have made it in. So, his next step is to talk to his boss to see what other things he can do at his job - learn to take blood, or something like that. There are certificates he can get to help him, and while he waits for next year, learn more this year. This made him feel better, but it stinks to be 30 yrs old and have to wait another year to get into school.

Funny, every time DH and I talk about selling the house, something happens that forces us to stay here longer. I keep saying this house is too big for us now and needs a new family to enjoy it. Maybe the house is telling us this is where we are supposed to stay, so stop talking about moving. So that's it. As of today, I am going to stay in this house until IT tells me to leave.

DH got a call from his orthopod, and they have an opening on Monday, so he is now scheduled for his ankle fusion on Monday. This was quite the surprise. Then he is going to have his wrist surgery 3 weeks later. He is going to be out of work for at least 12 weeks.

@Patti - How nice you got to spend time with friends. I cannot wait for warmer weather and getting back out for BBQ's.

@Karenmarie - Taxes - ugh. A necessary evil, but it is always dreaded. I hope things go in your favor.

@CJ - I am so sorry that you are in so much pain. regardless of the physical pain, it is so draining mentally. I am happy you had no migraine, Good luck getting authorized for the pool so you can get some relief.

@Cathy - I am sorry you were in so much pain, but at least there is some relief for you on the horizon with the surgery. Hopefully you get the US done soon so he can see what he will be dealing with. I hope the meds help relieve the pain to where it is tolerable.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello Team,

I'm sorry I haven't been in here for a couple of days. Saturday, I was feeling closer to normal but I was still kind of feeling tired from the vaccine shot. We ended up making it a lazy day and watching a movie and doing some things around the house. We ordered some Sushi fro a nearby restaurant and brought it home. While Randy went to get the Sushi the power went out and was out for about 10 - 15 minutes and then it came back on. I have no idea what happened because the whole neighborhood was out. I was in the bedroom when the lights went out and had to use the flashlight on my phone to keep the birds from getting too scared. Then we finished watching a movie and went to bed.

Yesterday, I was in a lot of pain. I have a mass on my backside just above the buttocks. Randy gives me massages from time to time when my back is hurting and he said it's been there for a long time (appox. 6 months) but recently it has started bothering me. Yesterday I was in so much pain I was crying. It hurt to sit or stand. Stretching seemed to help some. Finally, I made an appointment with my PCP and he ordered an Ultrasound and general surgery to remove it. He said that based on what he felt it's either a cyst bundled up in some nerves or a fatty tumor w (which I'm prone to get). The surgery will be two weeks from Wednesday. The Ultrasound people have to get back to me still on when they can schedule it for me. He gave me a prescription the works on nerve pain and is non-addictive. It does help to quell the pain but not completely. It does make you tired though.

Leslie - The weather here is warm one day and then cold the next. I enjoy the warm days when we get them. I hope you were able to get everything done over the weekend that you needed to.Thanks for crossing your fingers that I won't need a crown.
It sounds like he made the right decision to stay there and continue to work while he waits to get into school again. It makes sense to show that he has settled down and is now looking for a stable career.
I'm glad you had a good time Saturday with your friend amd shopping.
I understand getting spoiled by the 70 degree temps and not liking it when the temps drop down to the 40s and 50s.
I understand about not liking that a window isn't covered. Even if it is high up and people can't see in, you almost feel naked. lol

Karenmarie - Thanks, I'm feeling better except for the pain on my backside. Your borthers sound a lot like Randy. I'm sorry all of the cooking lands on you.
WTG making it through the night without a snack and making your 6 cups of water goal. I imagine it's a lot of fun playing the Wii with Natalie and a fun way to get your exercise. That's really nice of you to help your sister out. I'm sure that it felt great to be able to help her out.

Patti - It does seem a bit early still for veggies. Maybe in a couple more weeks they'll have some veggies. Glad you had a little bit of rain Saturday.
That's really nice that you went to your friends house for a cookout. It sounds like you had a great time.

CJ - Yay! No migraines for a day is such a blessing! I'm sorry the pollen count there is so high and that it's been causing you to have migraines. I hope you don't have anymore migraines this spring.

I probably won't contribute much the fourth week of the challenge since I'll be having surgery. I imagine I won't be feeling up to sparking much. I'll probably not count my points for that week.

Hello Friends - Another day without a migraine. emoticon The fibromyalgia pain has shifted to my rib area making it painful to breathe. Dang.

emoticon It's hard for me to talk about what is happening to my poor, aging body. When I hear myself say "My pain level is at 8!" ---- it sure makes it hard to remain in denial. I feel as though I am slowly losing my life long companion = my body! It is becoming less able to recover and I am needing more help with daily tasks. I am thankful for anything that helps me feel more comfortable. I'm trying to get authorized to use a therapy pool. Most pools are still closed here but I found one that is open. Being in the water feels soooo good. emoticon

Good morning Cherry Blossoms,

Sunday was a busy day, got a lot accomplished though. Got lots of food prepped for lunches and dinners for the week. Finished all of the laundry - need to put it away this morning. We are back into colder temps - 40's and 50s this week. I hate this time of year when you get spoiled with a 70 degree days. Its so much harder to bundle up to go for a walk with the dog. In February, we love this, in April not so much No excuses, I need to take the dog for 3 walks even though it is cold out.

Today between working, I need to focus on buying some curtains for the dining room. After the painting, I did get one set, but the colors were not right so had to send them back. Now I have this huge window that is just wide open. Its up high so people cannot just look in, but it still feels exposed.

@CJ - YaY!! emoticon Glad the migraine subsided. Hopefully it stays that way. Pollen counts are on the rise here too - my boys and I start suffering now right through to around Mother's day. It does stink..

@Cathy - Haven't heard from you - I hope you are okay following your vaccine.

@Karenmarie - hope you are well.

@Patti - I was checking our farm store this weekend. I guess it is early for even most plants here. Was hoping for a few start veggies but nothing yet. Probably a good thing since the nights are back to the 30s here.

Hello Friends - Hooray! No migraine today emoticon I've been less than functional these last few days. Our pollen count is at a 10 which is bad news for our allergies and that usually triggers my migraines. I still love the flowers - but the allergy side-effect isn't the best.

Good morning everyone. I went to the farmers market yesterday. they basically had plants. Only a few veggies. I guess it is still a little early.

Lesley: Yeah. Hopefully the lawn grass will grow.

Karenmarie: I had a good day. It stayed mostly dry

Cathy: We had a little bit of rain yesterday.

Good morning all,

Had a really nice day yesterday. Took my friend out for lunch and then a quick shopping trip and it was just so nice and relaxing. And since I did that, today will be a busy day since the only other thing I got done yesterday was food shopping and cleaning the bedroom and changing the sheets. Today, there is a lot of food prep to be done and laundry and then just a few things to get ready for the week.

@Karenmarie - That was nice of you to help out Jeanne. Doing the Wii with Natalie must be fun. I am sure she enjoys doing it with you.

I hope everyone else is having a good weekend.

Lesley- I am happy your weather is going to be nice. I hope you have a nice
visit with your friend,

Patti - I hope you have a great day.

CJ-I hope you have a great day.

Cathy - -I hope you feel better soon. I am sorry you having trouble with your teeth. No, my brother barely know how to boil water.

I did make through the night without having a snack. I did not make my six cups of water yesterday. I did the wii with Natalie for my exercise yesterday. My happy yesterday was being able to loan Jeanne money to paid off a credit bill.

Good morning,

Today is going to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood - 70s and sunny. I am taking my friend out for her 60th birthday so I am looking forward to that. But I have a lot to do this weekend

Pretty much the weekend is going to be laundry, change the beds, clean the bedroom, next weeks menu, food shopping and food prep. Lots to do.

@Patti - I hope it didn't rain too much. But its probably good for your lawn to have it fill in the spots where it has not grown.

@Karenmarie - Nice job with your goals. Looks like you hit all of them!

@Cathy - Good that the laser therapy went well to offset the dentist. Fingers crossed you won't need a crown.

We agree that he needs to stay here and continue to work while he waits to get into school again. I do think that is the way he is leaning, because as a bartender he moved around a lot and did not show stability. By staying here and continuing to work at the hospital, he shows he has settled down and is now looking for a stable career.

Thanks for sending in the points.

@CJ - hope things are okay.

Hello Everyone,

I'm still feeling tired from my shot on Tuesday but it seems to be getting a little better each day. I'll probably take tomorrow off from exercising again. Hopefully, Sunday I'll feel better and will be up to exercising again.

My laser therapy appointment went well. The dental appointment didn't go badly but it didn't go well either. When we lived in Missouri we had a horrible dentist. Of course, we didn't realize it until after he killed himself and especially after we moved back to Colorado. He had a bunch of lawsuits pending against him. Anyway, I have a tooth that had a cavity that he filled but the filling is deteriorating. Now I have to go back on Tuesday so they can take out the filling and redo it. Hopefully they won't have to do a crown. I'm really not looking forward to the procedure.

Lesley - I'm so sorry your son was denied. I don't blame him for wanting a face to face meeting so he can understand why he was denied. I can understand why all of you are devastated and why you weren't up to chatting yesterday. I hope he can find out what went wrong. Even though he hates living there, it might be better for him to reapply there and get all of his schooling done before he decides to move to Colorado.
It's understandable to not feel motivated to do anything today. I hope things went better as the day went along.
My arm has been sore and it was as sore as yours the first 2 days. It's definitely better today though. For me, the hardest part is trying to get over being so tired.
Thanks for the good luck wishes.
Yeah, it really sucks that she's got cancer again! But, she's been through this 4 other times and responds to the treatments so I'm hoping she'll do well again this time.
It will comfort our friend but I know it will cheer her up as well for us to visit her. I know she thinks of us like family to a certain extent and she'll be happy to have us visit her.

Patti - I hope you don't get too much rain.

Karenmarie - The laser therapy went well and the dental visit was good except that they have to redo a filling I had done several years ago. Thanks, I'm sorry about our friend's mom too. She'll be happy to have us visit her once a week.
WTG making it through the night without a snack and making your water goal. How fun to play the wii with Natalie for your exercise. Do your brothers make dinner from time to time? It's really nice when you don't have to make dinner!

CJ - I hope you had a good day and that a plumber was able to come out to fix the leak.

BTW. I sent our points in to Amy.
