This has been an interesting challenge.

I did not realize that I was a one-thing-at-a-time snacker. And I suspect that my method of snacking is not as healthful as it could be... I rarely incorporate protein into my snacks, just grab a handful of something, or pick up a piece of fruit.

It is interesting to shine a light on things we habitually do so that we see them with increased clarity! My snacking is something I would like to work on; even though I track it I never REALLY think about it.

The right "SNACK COMBOS" should contain mostly complex carbs (think whole grain & freggies) paired with some protein & good fat. For example, something like these:

- cottage cheese & nuts or fruit
- celery, apple, or banana with peanut butter
- dry cereal (like Chex) with nuts
- fig newton cookies with skim milk
- popcorn with tomato juice
- whole grain crackers and cheese
- tortilla chips and salsa

Sunday - triscuits & cheddar cheese
Monday - Cottage cheese & sunflower seeds
Tuesday - hard-boiled egg & grapes
Weds - broccoli & carrots w/ranch dip
Thurs - banana w/peanut butter
Friday -
Saturday -
