Ran with my friend yesterday. Started out slow, but by the end we were running for 3-5 minutes at a time and not feeling like death when we slowed to walking! It was the most invigorating feeling. So excited!!

I'm doing half weeks - I did week one last week, but knew I wasn't ready for week two just yet. I'm walking 3.5 then running 1.5 this week. It's not much of a jump at all but it's helping me ease into more running, which is something I've slacked off on in the past.

NO matter how you look at it, you're still getting out there and doing it. Keep doing what works for you so you don't quit. You'll know when you can do more and when not to.
Just listen to your body. It will tell you what to do :)

I am so glad to see other people that have repeated a week! I think I will do every week 2 times. I am not trying to break records (or ankles) here, I just want to increase my overall activity level and be healthier!

Don't give up! Its about progress, not perfection imo. In theory, I *should* be at week 7. In reality, I back tracked to week 2 again. Progress, not perfection!

I also loved "You are still lapping those sitting on the couch". PERFECT!

Always remember, you are still lapping those on the couch. A slow run is so much better than sitting at home probably eating. That is what I remind myself! Keep it up!

I'm having a hard time with my 5k plan. I'm not giving up though. Right now I'm just continuing to do the walk/jog thing ~~ I walk for a few minutes and then jog for as long as I can. Sometimes I can only jog a few seconds and other times I can make it a few minutes. I'll keep at it! emoticon
