Started Week 1 today. Have been walking 5k's for quite a while. Now I want to incorporated some jogging. Did 2.91 miles today with some jogging thrown in - 16:46 time emoticon

Did Day 2 yesterday. Planning on getting back to the gym this evening but won't do Day 3 as you're not supposed to do it 2 days in a row. Instead I'll use some of the weight machines for the legs. Can't do the arms right now because of tendonitis.

Finished the first day and while it was challenging, it certainly wasn't anything I couldn't do. I walked 4 mins and jogged 1 min for 25 minutes (5 X's). I got to just a little over 1.5 miles. Looking for a 5K in my area.

Completed week 1..but on the 3rd day, I even added 2 more fast sprints...easy-peasy. But, still total only 1 pound weight loss (in 40 days). Boo-hoo. emoticon

Tried day 3 today, but ankle decided to have a bad day and lock out so had to give up at 10 mins and just do upper body weights in the gym. Manipulated it later in the sauna and it feels better now. emoticon

It is apparent to me that I need new shoes. Walked 25 minutes yesterday and got blisters on both heels. It will be a great motivator though!

Hi all!

I did Week 1 Day 1 this afternoon. This will be my second time starting the program - as I tried to begin 2 weeks ago; however with the holidays, travelling, and catching a cold I got set back a little bit. However, I am going back on track and I have to follow it as I have signed up for The Color Run that is coming to my area in April! It will be my first 5K and I'm determined to complete it.

Anyway - I am doing this program on a treadmill - walking about 3.5 and jogging at about 4.3-4.5. I am sure my speed will increase as I do the program and I am excited to keep at it!

No matter how slow you go, you're still lapping everyone on the couch!

I just joined the team.
I have been walking and I think I have the endurance to start jogging. Do I have to go a certain speed? I think on my treadmill I can jog my 1 min at 4.0???.
My walking speed is 3.2 comfortably is that too slow???

Oh, thank you for the speedy reply. so far, I don't have the email. I have the spark group on my spark group page. Perhaps the email is coming and I am impatient!! Thank you for the workout info...when I go to log it....it sounded like there was a box to check that I did the work out? And do I just figure out my mph and log it as walking for the correct amount of minutes??

thanks again....I feel like I should be able to figure this out...perhaps I am getting ahead of myself!!

GetFit--when you joined the group, you should have gotten a Spark email and in that e-mail has a link to your training plan. If that didn't happen, I posted the link for all the training plans--just pick the one you need (the walk/jog one) and go from there. Hope this helps!

Hi...I just signed up for this today, plan to start tomorrow. I'm not clear on how to log the workouts? I don't have my weekly email yet, so maybe that will explain it? I do see on my fitness tracker a distance goal now....please advise. Not sure what to do???
