I am reading Malice, by Lisa Jackson. It's my first Lisa Jackson book and it's okay, so far. I'm not very far into it.

I just finished reading The Girl Who Plays With Fire and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, both by Stieg Larsson. I can't wait until May to get the final book in the trilogy! They are pretty good reads.

I enjoyed the Bubbles series, especially since they're set in my neck of the woods. Thanks to whoever recommended Monkeewrench! That took me a while to get into, but I've requested the next one fom the library and can't wait to follow the characters. Last night I finished The Refuge by Sue Henry, and I'm looking for more of hers too.

Sorry for all the postings, but I am trying to catch up with this team. The past few weeks have been a bit hectic. However, I have found time to read.

The Souvenir by Patricia Carlon - I happened upon this book while browsing in the library. It reminded me a bit of Patricia Highsmith. It is very cerebral. Carlon is Australian and the book is set there.

Folly du Jour by Barbara Cleverly. I love Cleverly's books. This one is part of the Joe Sandlands series. (These should be read in sequence.) She has another series I have started as well with a female sleuth.

Christine Falls by Benjamin Black (a pseudonym for John Banville). This was very good - not just a book but literature.

The Serpent's Daughter by Suzanne Arruda. I have read earlier books by Arruda and liked them. The plot in this one was a bit far-fetched at times, but the story is set in Morocco and I loved reading about that country.

I just started Sacrificial Ground by Thomas Cook. I read Evidence of Blood and liked that. So far, I think this one will be enjoyable as well.

I enjoyed Still Life quite a bit. I am surprised that you saw it categorized as a 'cozy.' I think that is a mis-categorization (if that is a word). I have Penny's next book in the series on my reading list.

Mrs. Pollifax is a widow with grandchildren who volunteers to the CIA because she feels "expendible", is hired through a fluke, and goes on to have a number of adventures. Her life experience is a big help, and she's a great character. I re-read those books every now and again, and always enjoy them.

I am reading Still Life, by Louise Penny. It was called a "cozy murder mystery". Takes place in a tiny Canadian village called Three Pines. This is the first in a series.
